Fellow Eagle fan... I like your enthusiasm. Let's concentrate on MAKING the playoffs first though before we can talk playoff rematches. That really applies to all the teams. Nothing is a given. BTW, welcome to the board!! :cool:

Yup, coming from an Eagle on Varsity I'm excited about the district road ahead and I know that in order to make the playoffs, we must win District 3-5A. But based on the look of things it's not going to be easy to do in such a hard district, but were very confident in the fact that we well be back in the playoffs again and maybe evan a rematch with SLC. and no offence to SLC fans but we may give you a good run for your money, and maybe evan beat you. And just like last year, the winner will most likely win State.

Eagles fans - I think you are counting your chickens a bit too early here. Yes the Eagles are 5-0, but have not looked very convincing. SLC, however is also 5-0 and looking as awesome as they did last year. I think we all need to see some very convincing district play, before we talk about a re-match with SLC and the possibly beating SLC.

You're being excessive Toon. Yes, AHS looked flat against two lesser teams - but they can roaring back against Texas Stadium and demolished a Kansas City team that appears to be twice the team anyone SLC has played. SLC has played nobody and looked very convincing against all of the nobodies. They will have some stout tests over the next few weeks, as will AHS and every other top 10 team. We'll know more in about 6 weeks.

Looked more than flat looked downright bad against a 4A Brownwood team that has only won 1 game and a not very good Belton team that has only won 2 games. Good win over the Missouri team but does anyone really know how good they were?? Keep winning and you will be there.

I saw the Lee/SLC game this yr. I don't think SLC looked anything close to last yr.'s great team. They had a little trouble putting away a very weak Lee team (allowed Lee to hang around quite a while), a Lee team that I would doubt will win a single dist. game this yr. Lee is weak on both off. & def. this season. I admire SLC for their fb program & tradition & all that--I don't "hate" SLC--but I doubt their any better than #10 in the st. this yr.--unless they've improved alot since the Lee game. This is all based--I admit--on watching only one game.

The Dragons have made a lot of improvements in the last few weeks. I don't think that McElroy has thrown an interception since that game and the running game has really taken off. That Lee game was interesting in that it was in conditions that either team will not face again. It was so hot out there and was also the first game of the season.

Well its 4:35 can't wait to get to the game, I'm ready to see if our offence is still on track. This is not last years team, but they are a very talented team on both sides of the ball. The defense has kept us in a couple of games for the offence to come back and win it But when we played Rockhurst we showed what offence & defense can do together! and they put their signatures on it, now lets go do that in every game and you will win every game because you know how to play together. You do have a awsome team!
