Garland ISD has 7 schools and two stadiums - they have to play either Thursdays or Saturdays to get all the games in- the coaches prefer Thrusdays because Saturday is a film/ work day.
I enjoy it because it gives me a chance to see the other teams in the district and area...

all right!!! a reply!!! i tried to start this thread because the pinned "SCOREBOARD" was full of posts about other teams that have had, might have or did have a Thursday night game at some point in the past, present or future.
Dont get me wrong guys. I have been around a lot long than I've been a member, mostly for the SCOREBOARD. SLC, Lufkin, Longview, etc are GREAT TEAMS, but they dont have to come up in every thread. :D
IMO a lot of unrelated stuff ends up in the SCOREBOARD. Just makes it harder to keep up on a Friday night.
Keep all informed on the SCOREBOARD and keep FOCUSED.

I couldn't agree more. This happens in every thread. People stray so far from the subject.
I love thursday football, because like you said it is just one more day of awesome games.

It's great IF you don't have to be at school at 7:30 on Friday morning. Maybe they should make a rule. On the morning after a Thursday game, first period is canceled.
I bet I just made some friends.

I think big games like South Garland and Garland, Longveiw and Tyler Lee and others shouldn't be played on Thursday but on Friday. That's just me though.
