Basically he said that all we care about here in Texas is football and that in Ohio their players are more involved in their studies. At least that's what I got from it. Is this guy for real. Definately making excuses...I think he knows what is coming. Go Lee!

He basically says Texas puts all their money into sports and puts their kids into sport classes (90 minute football class) along with football practice.

We tried to tell those clowns that Football is serious in Texas. They just didnt listen. Tomorrow we find out.

If you heard the interview on Smoaky's show, what he was saying was that he was amazed at the committment to HS football in Texas. He stated that while the game was good in Ohio at the top programs, he felt that the total committment to football in Texas was spectacular and that if Ohio ever wanted to get to that level from top to bottom, they would have to increase their own comittment. He was very complimentary about the Lee program, their athletes, and facilities. He went on to say that they never see teams as good as Lee or some of the other top programs in Texas from a size, strength and speed perspective. Don't try to read something into a TV soundbyte that was not in the context of the conversation.
