Haha, well, kids at Mac were making a huge deal that they beat Clark and Taft and Clark beat Churchill.....Churchill may surprise me as we get to district. They haven't lived up to the hype. Mac and Reagan should be a good game. Judson will hopefully beat the daylights outta Lee....they may need that to boost some confidence if they lose to P-ville.

Next year JISD will have Friday and Saturday games because Judson and Wagner will be sharing Judson Stadium. To bad it says Judson in one endzone and Rockets in the other. Turf is expensive, even just 1 endzone. I don't know if the are going to keep Judson Rockets, or put Judson and Wagner, or Rockets and Thunderbirds. Probably not the latter, because Thunderbirds is to long to go in the endzone. Maybe T-Birds on one side Rockets on the other? Wagner and Judson are the same length, so I think that is what they will put if the change the endzone at all.

Teams like in the Irving ISD, Keller ISD, Birdville ISD, have one stadium and 3 teams. When two teams have home games in the week there has to be a Thursday game.

It's really stupid and unfair how they choose who plays Thursday, because we have had 4 Thursday night games in the past 3 seasons(one this season, at Irving) and Trinity has had 0.

Tyler Lee is getting dominated at the point of attack defensively, and are having real trouble stopping the option. Colerain is on pace for over 500 yards rushing. Lee has been able to hit a couple of big plays to stay in the game, but the defense looks really bad.

Lee is staying blocked and when they happen to escape blocks they aren't wrapping up well at all. They have a lot of adjustments to make at halftime to avoid being run out of the stadium.

Colerain has quick guys in the backfield. The QB Gary Pride hasn't made any big mistakes so far, and that's always a big boost to an option offense. Normally, mistakes on the pitch or TBs not having control of the ball lead to rough days for a team that is strictly option bound.

Anyway, Colerain's offense is definitely giving Lee problems and I think the fact that hardly anyone in 5A runs a system like Colerain has a lot to do with that. It's tough to prepare for something you don't see, but that goes both ways. Colerain's never seen Lee before either.

I miss seeing option football, when it is executed I believe it is the most beautiful thing to witness in all of football, then again I grew up watching the option so im a bit biased.

O'Conner offensively didn't look very good. Their QB kept throwing the ball in the ground 5 yds short of his WR and their running game isn't anything to shout about.
Boerne doesn't do anything special. They setup a lot with 2 TE's. But that offensive line averages 265 and the 2 tackles are freaky huge.
I guess Mac will find out just how good they are next week. Boerne is much better then Clark or Taft.

San Marcos just missed converting a 4th and 1 at Connally's 10 with about 3 minutes left in the game, then after holding Connally with about a minute to go Connally picked off a pass to seal it. A very exciting game to watch IMO but I enjoy watching defenses force the offenses to work hard.

I guess we got cocky too. We came in thinking we had the game won before it started. And just like that, we were down 20-0 4 minutes into the game. After that it was a defensive struggle. But there wasn't much we could have done about it. I'm sure the North Mesquite coaches watched our game film and then said "What is the cheapest, lamest, boringest way possible to win Friday" and came up with running one play the entire game(seriously), running dime coverage the whole game, and not throwing one pass. You have to give them credit though, it seems so genius.
