I understand Dada. I hate it when they remake songs too. I don't mean cover them. I mean take a classic song and insert that hip hop/rap twist to it. That kind of crap. Makes me nuts.

Some other group did "In the Air Tonight" in the Miami Vice movie.....you can't compete with Phil Collins.

i don't like remakes of songs either-
Shameless(brainless) by Garth Brooks- originally Billy Joel
I Want You to Want Me by Dwight Yoakum- originally Supertramp
Land of Confusion by Disturbed- originally Phil Collins
Country is really bad about murdering a great song and twangin' it to death( I do like Country music, but damn!)

Not that it was a remake of the old movie but the second Sandlot was an absolute travesty. Dispicable.

As a general rule, I do not favor remakes of movies or covers of original music recordings. There are exceptions, but in most cases, they do an injustice to the original artist.

Sandlot 2 was a remake. It was the exact same thing, just modernized. And it completely defiled the good Sandlot name.

I actually liked the remake, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, because they didn't try to make it exactly like the original.

I agree.
I'm waiting for the next revolutionary movie out of Hollywood.
I remember sitting in the theater isles to see Back to the Future, and remember going with my friend to see T2 and being blown away at the special effects. I had to stand to see Jurassic Park, and sat in line for three hours before Star Wars Episode 1. The Matrix was unbelievable to me the first time I saw that.

I think Hollywood may have pushed the envelope a little too far. Now nothing shocks us...
All the chase scenes and fight scenes are predictable and tired.
The Matrix and the special f/x were awesome...until every action movie started using the same f/x. Then it became lame.

I've really enjoyed the Bourne movies. Those are cool. But the car chase in the second one almost made me hurl in the theater. Apparently, directors have fallen in love with the quake cam in recent years.

Miami Vice was a cops and robbers tv show that ran from 1984 to 1989. It starred Don Johnson as James "Sonny" Crockett and Philip Michael Thomas as Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs.

Ha,ha. If that show moved 20 years forward, there's no doubt it would be called "Miami Gay Vice."

Don't see Torque. The movie's camera is so erratic and violent that I thought I was epileptic for a while.
