Calallen is a suburb of Corpus, that beats up on the local teams in South Texas, then loses when they have to move North...they have a good coach named Danaher, whose Son Wes, was a quality running back for them a few years ago.

This post cannot be correct, you do not have SV in the list. I am very surprised that many SV posters have not come on yet and given us reasons why they are not high on the list. I know they will brag about how many times they have been to the big dance, only to lose just another excuse, except to say they got beat by a better team.

You really gotta love how people splice out an era in time just to make their program look good...Many of these programs were in diapers when the Lobos were putting 5A football on the map...you go ahead and have you little three year historic run who cares...Just want to know; where you were in the 30's, 40's 50's, 60's, 70's when the Lobos was building this class you call 5A. Like I said, you go ahead and have you little 10 or 15 years of history, go ahead and bask in it...when you get up to the century mark we might just throw you a party, if you last that long...Lobos, Mavericks, the 2 Tyler schools , Lufkin...them there are the Pioneers, bow down and pay homage

I think I read somewhere that the Lobos last won it all 68 years ago. Not sure who all was playing back then, but that trophy's good enough for me to nominate the LV Lobos as the "TX HS team of the Decade" for 1930's......Congratulations!! ;)

SV is not on the list because prior to 1993 we did not have a coach. We do lose to better teams however we beat alot of teams better than us too. No excuses especially the ones like "wah we lost because of a stupid measurement". Fortunately for you COJU does not lose often but lord when they the excuses come flying out of you people just as fast as anybody else. So bite me.

Yep, Katy's first Title was in 1959 when the school was 1A (correct me Tiger fans if I err). Remember 5A started in the late 80's which would probably move Judson up a notch for 5A victories. It would knock SLC way down for # of victories 'cause this is their 4th or 5th year at 5A but keep them high as far as winning percentage. Do the same type of list for the history of 5A football. That would be just as interesting.

Speaking ill of coju and trash talking are 2 different things. We will see what happens in week 5 but I reserve the right to hate them until then. They are a great program and I won't even go into the reasons why I hate them as I have in the past and until we beat them we have no bragging rights. I would much rather beat SLC because it will mean so much more.

If you want to only look at 5A programs then the highest winning % would still have to go to SLC because nobody has ever been 49 - 1 in thier only years in 5A.
There are a lot of great programs and in time this run that the Dragons are having might come to an end. I do not see it in the near furture but this is High School Football and anything can happen.
I think that there are many programs that have been consistanly good over the years and all deserve our respect. But most of all the players and coaches who have molded and influneced many a young man deserve our deepest gratitude! Good luck to all who play and enjoy this game!
