thats the only thing watching are the high lights who watches the figure skating championships or nextel nascar or anything of that. Once football basketball and baseball maybe hockey our done that show has all time lows. classic quotes from espn.
“Prior to the game, some commentators had postulated that the 2005 USC team was one of the best college football teams of all time0, if not the best. ESPN analysts were virtually unanimous in their declaration of the 2005 USC Trojans as the best offense in the history of college football, despite the fact that they did not lead the nation in points scored (Texas did). ESPN analysts Mark May and Kirk Herbstreit declared, before the 2005 Rose Bowl had even been played, that the 2005 USC Trojans were the 2nd best college football team of the past 50 years (May placed them behind only 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers; Herbstreit behind only 2001 Miami Hurricanes. This led to Texas fans at the Rose Bowl mockingly chanting "Best...Team...Ever" during the post-game celebration."
This was later placed in it
"[83]Since the game, the media, coaches, and other commentators have heaped praise upon the Texas team, Vince Young, and the Rose Bowl performance. For instance, Sports Illustrated called the game "perhaps the most stunning bowl performance ever".
ets not forget how the contradict them self’s either with another classic
“Prior to the 2006 Rose Bowl, ESPN's SportsCenter ran a special in which the 2005 USC Trojans, led by stars Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush, and LenDale White, were pitted against the greatest college teams of the past 50 years, as picked by sports fans voting on ESPN.com, to determine their place in history. The 2001 Miami Hurricanes were the only team picked by fans to defeat the '05 Trojan squad, reflecting the esteem with which the '01 Hurricanes are held in the college football world."
All teams include the 95 huskers. remember Texas couldn't beat usc we did it then they put Texas up high on the pedestal. Now 2001 Miami is the great team ever then Texas 05 then usc 05 then huskers 95. Has espn ever been smart?
