Yeah Duke....he hurt his ankle the first game of the season....reaggravated it after like 5 carries and left the game....they were in trouble without him...not a good sign.

When you build your offense around one guy and that one guy is out, you have no shot. KC also may have quarterback problems. He threw 2 picks for 2 touchdowns, and KO also blocked a punt on the 10 yard line. Collins looked bad. KC has a junior quarterback that is really impressive, but the coach will stick with the senior because of experience. Sounds like a similar situation to the wood. Anyway, the loss was embarassing

Mike Goodson stained his achilles in the Aldine scrimmage on the first play after a 40 yard run.
He tried to go against Oak but clearly couldn't. There were two carries for 8-10 yards that a healthy Goodson makes the cut and goes yard.
When you have (as Pete Carroll said) one of the top 6 RB's in the country, you do build around that. He will be fine, I just hope Feldman rests him till it is 95%.
The back-up QB is very similar to the starter, Jake and is not significantly better. Remember, mistakes will kill any team and Oak had a great defense but do not drop a perfect snap from the center on the punt, don't force a QB to go for it with 7 minutes to go on 4th and 20, don't get a punt return from the younger Goodson for a TD called back and you may compete.
Oaks TD's were 1) 1 play 8 yards run after the punter dropped the snap, 2) QB 60 yard run on 2nd play of 2nd half, 3) 15 yard interception return for TD after bad decision by QB, 4) 80 yard TD return after he threw a hail mary that Feldman takes the blaim for bad decision.
Positives? - Defense looked good. Oak had 122 yards Total offense (60 on the one play), 11 minutes possession. Couldn't believe Porter got offensive player of the week with these paltry numbers but good for him. He is scrappy, 3rd year player/starter who deserves the recognition. Also, they moved Meech Goodson from corner to receiver, and he has great talent.
People, Collins is a good football teams but anyone around knows they are small and have limited depth. Also, they had 3 starters out to start the game and lost Goodson early then lost the Linebacker and cornerback making it 6 starters out for this weekend. 3-4 should be back in 2-3 weeks.

Good points. Thanks for the insight.

I don't think he should come back until district starts. That is when the season matters. Get him healthy and try and make the playoffs.

I get the impression that Feldman is going to sit MG until he is 95%. It is unlikely he will play tonight. I think it will be a game to game decision but I do not think we are looking at and extended rehab.
