It's too quiet from the Converse area. What happened with Judson -anybody? Have not heard from Lonnie. Were you guys expecting a close game?

I wouldn't talk to much about Judson. They are going to spoil a lot of teams seasons this year. Their game against Cove could have gone either way. The only difference between this years Judson Team and last years team is they don't have Fox. I was real impressed with their kicker on kick-offs. Judson is one of the best power running teams I have seen. SV and all of the SA schools that they play better bring their best game. If they don't Judson will beat them. I still see Judson winning their district.

I've literally been working 20 hours a day and none of that involves coming on the website. Also, the fact I don't see the games makes me post less. I will start posting more when the work slows down.

Be safe over there Lonny. Pflug will be no walk in the park this week for Judson - they gave SV a game for sure. No cream puff schedule over in Converse land.

Thanks. That's better than the normal banter that Judson plays Sister Mary and Her 5-piece Band every other week and they get Joe's Barber Shop the other week!

I agree with you totally. If I remember correctly, only one of Judson's five titles came in undefeated years. It seems when they lose a game early in the year all it does is open their eyes and really piss them off! I guarantee you that the Judson - SV game will be a war. Whoever takes care of the ball and doesn't miss extra points will will the game. SV will be playing at Judson and their place is one of the toughest places to get it done, along with SV's home turf. A whole bunch of people are probably counting the Rockets out already, and those who are counting them out are badly mistaken. They would have beaten a very good team in their home stadium last week if they had simply taken care of extra points.

can't blame it ALL on extra points, although that is one of the MAJOR reasons. The offense did not get it done, and the defense did well compared to where Cove got the ball.

It's been awfully quite from North Shore fans since the loss in the playoffs...
And yes, we (players, coaches, trainers) were expecting a close game, just not one that we lost. It's all good though. It's not a crushing defeat. It will help the players learn that they are not all world. Thank You Copperas Cove.

I don't think Pflugerville will be as generous (5 Turnovers) with Judson as they were with Smithson Valley. One TD loss to SV with that many to's. They probably have a lot of confidence going into the Judson game. Judson needs to play better than they did last week if they want the W. I think they will. Go Rockets!

I think both teams are going to play better this week, which will make this such a great game. Its to bad Judson has to boring weeks after that. (off, SA Lee)

That'd be a real slap in the face for you all to lose to Lee...but if you all do go 1-2, you may need a good beating to get some of that confidence back.

If we lost to San Antonio Lee this year I would quit as a trainer, quit on this board, and never watch football again.
SA Lee has NE's magnet school, so its not really fair for them to play against 5A teams, especially in 26-5A.

Yeah it kinda is....although surprising enough they had a good soccer team...what's it like being a trainer? I would have done it but the only trainers we have is a bunch of a girls and a "girly boy"

Was that supposed to be a comeback statement? Wow, especially since the threadstarter just asked a simple question.. don't get so defensive.. and.... umm in case you can't tell.. NS posters aren't board leeches that stay on 24hrs a day like judson fan..... give it a rest...and don't sound so third grade.
oh and it's... QUIET, not "quite" make sure you transpose that t and e there :p

It's not that bad, but I would much rather play, but sometimes you have to see that your not that good at something, and you have to let it go. I am a trainer because I wanted to help the team, and this is the best way for me to do so.

I for one have not counted Judson out. They will come back and have a strong season as they always do. Four or five games deep in the playoffs if they get past Clemens. I don't care if come in 1-3 against SV it will be war.

Not too quiet from Shore fans. Yeah they got decimated by a good Westfield team last year but that was last year and no one I know from NS will deny or say otherwise about that game. Shore has been on the giving end of that many times so we just let it go and get on with this season. I was just wanting some insight to Judson's loss because it surprised me. Katy has lost early in the season and won state at the end.

Judson has lost early & late in the season and gone on to win state titles, make it to state game or semifinal game numerous times. Judson has never finished with a perfect season. Sometimes the losses are a wake-up call, which can be bad news for Judson's future opponents. It was a good game. both sides made some mistakes and great plays. Cove took advantage of the opporunities and came out on top.

As Joe Gibbs would say. "Just win, baby"...In other words, it doesn't matter how you get there, just win it.

Yeah, I think it'd be cool to be a trainer....just to help out the team. But I think I enjoy it more staying up in the stands yelling my heart out and getting sick the next day over it....lol.
