there is no way it will be on Friday...that would be ridiculous, isnt state always on Saturday?

i think if we play Lamar Consol. we'll play at the Alamo Dome, but if we play Alamo Heights i think we'll play at RRISD!

Ya, Cove opponents in the playoffs have a combined record before Cove defeated them of 42-4. Thats gotta be one of the toughest schedules a team has ever seen in the playoffs. Cove got down 12-7 with about 10 minutes left in the opening half, but Cove shut down Aledo the final 34 minutes and are headed to their first state championship game.

Gotta love those DAWGS but we gotta get ready for one more BIG game this week so slow the party wagon and lets get focused.

Then if all goes well we can check out the Bling Bling, LOL.

Have you EVER seen a Cove Team? Ask our playoff opponents about us. They believe now. We do too!!!

Here's to a GREAT game! Pray for no injuries and oh, yeah...

GO BULLDAWGS!!!

Congrats to the Bulldawgs. Great win today.

And now just one win away. It will be no cakewalk by any means. AH is VERY good. I have a good friend that coaches in their district and he says they're loaded. So one more time Dawgs. We can do it.

The game will be Saturday at 7pm at the Alamodome.

BTW, my friend has seen both teams play and he says Cove should win. Knock on wood.

Jack Welch and the bulldawgs are ready for this one. Welch shows no fear going into Heights' backyard to play them in a game. THE COVE faithful will travel. I was told that Alamo Heights isnt no where the caliber ofthan THigh or Aledo. GO DAWGS!!!!

Well lets hope the boys are ready cuase prior records, stats and messgae boards have no impact on how they will play. I am very confidant taht we will win and i also notice that many other Cove fans are starting to spit things out there boldly that other teams have the past few weeks and we all know where they are right now.

Cove players and coaches stay focused and practice the game plan. I think they are a passing team much like TTH so working that game plan in and one to stop a good runner will be the key. I think we are the better team and no place better to win a state championship than in your opponents back yard.

Although i said i would never travel past Waco to see Cove, ill be at this one. When a 13-5a(well 4a now) team goes to state, im there. Its in San Antonio against a San Antonio team and Cove travels well, what do yall expect the attendence to be?

Alamo Heights fans are saying they expect to have over 4,000 since it's so close...

I think Cove will have just a few more than that. Cove will be a ghost town on Saturday. :D

You are sure right about that. I hear they are going to get charter busses and everything and empty out the nursing homes and all for anyone that wants to go to this game. Sounds like a big thing to hit that little ole town but bring em on down to San Antonio and lets remember our own Alamo, LOL.

What with Judson having played Cove last year and the year before and the respect that I think both programs had for each other in that time, I'm sure there have been more than a few Rockets that have been following your progress with great interest and were pulling for you up to this point. Considering that Cove pulls in quite a bit of the Ft. Hood community and given the military community that JISD pulls quite a bit of, it's always great to see a similar type community make it this far.

Also exciting, of course, is to see what may have been one of the more shocking performances at any level in recent years by a team from the SAT area against a Houston area entry. What Alamo Heights did to LC was truly shocking, and gives the appearance going in at least that the SAT area may have the best chance since the beginning of time practically to have have a football champion at the 4A level. It's going to be interesting to see Heights and Cove get after it, and I'll be happy to see either team take it on Saturday, although of course going in I'm probably going to have to support the local (ie, SAT) entry (ie, Heights).

I hope they would have more than 4,000 considering its a home game and for the title. Cove will bring 10,000 plus, without a doubt, with all the former players and students getting back from college and being saturday night

I'll be there and bringing some friends in San Antonio to see the DAWGS.
I expect the Cove side to have well over 10,000 fans.

Cove should bring a lot more than that. State title berths don't grow on trees in many places (Some of those places don't even have trees!:D ) and you should enjoy the ride while you can.

Cove will come stacked... no doubt about that... i have friends driving in from Oklahoma where they play for Tulsa Hurricanes and a friend who is a student coach there as well... people are going to come to back our boys... but our boys will come 100x more prepared than any of the fans!!

AH will only bring 4000? That seems waaaay too low considering its the state championship game in their city.
