I guess this is mostly for Garland fans...but do you think Garland would have been any better if we had #8 still with us? I dont want to say anything taboo here, but it seems like Dwight has done an excellent job this year. Only thing is that Dwight would have been more rested to play CB. Just wondering your thoughts, especially considering I have only been able to attend one game.

If his head was on straight, no doubt...u don't loose a D1 runnigback that's 6'1 210 lbs. who can run a 10.75 100 and it help! Dwight is our best corner and he's been off that side of the ball most of the year...just my opinion...

This seems like a feeble attempt at an excuse for a loss that will happen on Saturday. :)

#8 has not played all year - this is just speculation.
Hamilton started the year a little shaky at RB but has blossomed into a great back - he has cutting ability and quickness that #8 rarely demonstrated. Of course, it would have been better if ALL the players had played, but I think the Owls have done OK without him... :D

I was not present for Rockwall and PESH, so I cannot hypothesize on whether #8's presence would have helped - but in terms of W/L in the playoffs, he could not have changed our record there. I always thought he ran too upright and lacked some quickness, but he had power that nobody else on the team had - probably not even Brooks.
With that said, I think it forced Garland to pass even more and get the ball in
Caldwell and others' hands even more. Caldwell's speed is something unmatched but most everybody else in the state. Not only can he run away from people on Offense, he can chase down people on defense to give the D a chance for a possible goalline stand to force the other team into attempting a FG which hopefully BJ will block.

I doubt that many - here - feel Garland will lose. They may, but I wouldn't see G-town fans making excuses - especially before the game - as to why they would.
I doubt that the above posting is feeble or that it is an excuse.

The good news is that if we went by polls instead of the actual Games Klein Oak would be out in the first round. Most people think that Garland will win, most people thought that Berkner would win, most people counted Klein Oak out after first round.
See you at the Berry Center!!!

#8 was off the team after the scrimmage this year versus the colony... Do a little research on the teams and players that you are gonna talk trash to. Just a thought, because if you don't know what you are talking about you look foolish and wind up trying to cover your embarassment with some lame post...
Garland wins and you eat crow!:D

We'll be there, and we'll be HERE, too.
Truthfully, as fans, we know very little about each others teams - most of us are just going with our hearts here. I do know that KO's record is a little deceiving because they had some ineligible players toward the end of the regular season who are back now - did their return make a big difference?
How much does KO run from the Wing T?
Another thing I noticed is that KO has very similar uniforms to Garlands - all black with a gold letter on the helmet. I hope this does not confuse Greg... we'll be the ones in all white...

Gotta say i like that fact they run some wingT...our guys have lived it for years, we should be able to stop it...and the slant? I see 6 going our way.....
I wish we'd run less out of the gun...we run better down hill under center and it sets up our misdirection passing game which is more consistent...

No lack of faith here - just stating the obvious that we really don't know much about KO...

Did '#8' have the same last name as one of our key offensive players? I'm trying to figure out who you guys are talking about. :)

The first syllable of his name rhymes with what Owls are known for doing... ;)

Im honestly not trying to stir up things, but why was #8 not on the team after the Colony scrimmage?
I don't know the back story here.

Crow breakfast huh. If I am not mistaken the final score was:
Garland - 31
Klein Oak - 14
Now you said that you would be back to say something about the game, and I am waiting.
