This game could be one of the best games in the area.

I personally think Coppell is one of the better teams in the metroplex and has a real chance at finishing second in 5-5A behind Euless Trinity. After last weeks loss to SLC, Coppell has alot to prove, and work on. They are 1-1-0 so far this season.

Duncanville, who was upset last friday night against Richland Berkner (36-16) has alot of work to do as well after losing there season opener.

Coppell is 3-0 playing Duncanville but this will only be there second time EVER playing Duncanville at Panther Stadium. This game is slowly becoming another rivalry game, Coppell has played two of the Top 20 teams to get ready for this one, I expect Coppell to win a close one...

Coppell will win this game because Duncanville once again proves that they under achieve until they have a playoff spot on the line and are forced to win.

I think Coppell will win. Moody willl get his yards & if the QB's from Coppell can pass just a little better than they did vs. Carroll, they will move the chains.

Yeah, It'll be strange seeing what they use from Carroll's offense after each Carroll game we ushally play some of the Dragons plays, I expect the short pass alot

Coppell is pathetic the way they copy Southlake. They wear the TEAM ME shirts, warm up the same way, run out the same way out of the same helmet with smoke, same banner. It was ridiculous seeing a mirror image of Carroll at the game, to bad they couldn't copy the way SLC plays

also the alma matter was pretty much the same, they had the Carroll Middle School fight song, and their cheer team i guess, the equivalent of our crew, did the pushups and everything, but i will say i was impressed with Coppel, they showed they improved since last year, they also had an extremly nice stadium, it was good to see it filled

Is this person stupid or is it some lame joke? Every 5A team does pushups and has a stupid blow up thing. Coppell isn't copying Southlake, it is just what every team does.

Cowboy, just a suggestion.....It might work better if your coaches taught our plays to your defense BEFORE you played us, rather than to your offense AFTERwards...... :D

Seeing that they know all the plays that SLC is going to run before they play them? SLC did a lot of short passing during the game where they usually do a lot of deep passing in other games.

You are 15, give it time you will see many others. How do you know that Southlake didn't copy Coppell on the pushups? And SLC was defientely not the first with the blowup crap.

Coach Dodge takes what the opposing D gives the Dragons...Coppell was playing off the WR's to take away the deep ball so Carroll took the underneath stuff, and had a lot of yards after the catch. The run was there also, with the QB's & Morefield and Newton able to get loose.

Our cheerleaders and our Wranglers(equivilent to the Crew) did pushups Friday, we run out of the helmet with a fog machine, and all of that.

Coppell BIG

I'm not sure that Coppell is as good as advertised, but I'm pretty sure they can beat a team that does less with more.

Sounds as if the Panther defense stepped up to the challenge tonight, its not a easy task to get victories playing in Duncanville. Sounds like the Panthers have fixed their week 1 problems.

Go read my post regarding week 2 scores, I said what I had to about Lewisville, they are not a very good team, in fact they have not been a very good team in the last 4 seasons now. I was just adding my thoughts and opinions to how you all said you were undefeated against Duncanville and how moody was a great RB, tonight you saw what going into Panther stadium is all about. Don't be bitter, God knows im not, I can accept the fact that we are not a very good football team, the question is can you accpet the fact you just got beat by a team who lost to Richardson Berkner?

I didn't get beat. I am sitting in my college dorm room sipping on a cold beer and we weren't playing any drinking games that i know of. As for you being bitter read some of your other post in which you call the Coppell Cowboys "Cowgirls", what a comedian! And Moody is a great RB that is why he is going to UT unless their scouts there just suck. Bring Sally up, and bring Sally down.

and nothing had to do with the Duncanville defense? I have been watching Duncanville play since 96, they usually have one of the best defenses in the state, it does not shock me one bit that moody did not do much agaisnt them.

and by the way the cowboys played tonight, I think they are worthy of the cowgirl title. I would see nothing wrong if you said the same about the Farmers, we are not a good football team. Sounds as if your a little to sensative.

Farmer read some of your other post before you talk, and I sound sensitve explain... And also I did not see the game but I don't think that Moody failing was all the D'ville defense because last year he had a great game against them and I do not believe their defense has improved since last year.

it was Duncanvilles D that stoped him he had 17 carries for 96 yards...coppell couldnt move the ball, everytime Moody got the ball there were at least two panthers around his legs...maybe you shouldnt talk so much smack, unless you were at the game... he just got shut down today...it happens to even the NFLs greatist backs, it'll be interesting to see him how he responds to a bad game...Also, Coppells starting QB was out (unknownly why), they had no passing game or anything...

That moody is still the best running back in the state? He has one bad game, even the greats have a bad game...We didnt have our starting QB in, and to top it off, our starting center went of the game with an injury, and lastly we didnt have our leading tackler on the field tonight...Coppell just didnt have a complete offense tonight...and Unlike most ppl belive our offenses doesnt revolve around moody, he only had 17 touchs

17 touches is still quite a few for one football game, like I said, prove to me O Wise one where my smack came from, all I have done is provide the truth if you can't handle it, im sorry.

From what my pops said the Defense looked top notch. The offense wasn't anything special though. Duncanville usually does have a good defense though. I don't know of many teams that have come into the jungle and won 2 or 3 times in a row. Coppell was talking alot this week I guess the game spoke for it's self. That Mesquite game should be interesting next week.

You joking? 17 carriers is a lot, on what standard? Jamal Evans tonight had nearly 40. And according to the numbers alone 5+ yards a carry is still a lot a first down every two downs, I think most coaches would take that.

Well from the hype that you guys have been giving mr moody, 17 should have been plenty for him to carry Coppell and that vaunted rushing attack to victory over Duncanville, seems as if the Coppell coaches realized running on the panther defense is not as easy a task as the people on this board thought it would be.

remind you I never said, that coppell would win...look threw my posts...and if I did I said it would be a close game which it was pretty close until the end of the 4th, when duncanville scored a late touchdown. Coach Fuller, is probably saving moody for District in two weeks...and if you saw some of the runs moody made last night that went somewhere you would be impressed, have u even seen Moody play ball?

Well i'll be damned..........i guess "hell week" shaped up those soft linebackers 4rm last week........

........offense struggles like usual.........i can't remember the last time we actually had an explosive offense.........we always have done just enough by taking advantage of turnovers, field position, and ball control.........

......and 2 answer your question, i graduated in 2002.........played football for Duncanville.......

.......we were that team that started off #1 by DMN in 5A and proceeded to go 6-5 with a 24-3 drubbing by the hands of Arlington at Texas Stadium.........

.........we were however 13 points 4rm finishing 9-1 in the regular season tho..........lost 7-3 to Plano East, 12-10 at the Astrodome against the Woodlands, and 14-7 against Irving in which we were robbed......

.........we weren't that bad, but obviously overrated and it got to our heads
