S.GARLAND WRS P.PAYNE & D.MONTGOMERY

ok if im right, phillip payne is the nations #12 wr, but yet he only has about 5 or 6 receiving yards so far on the season, and derron montgomery is not even in the top 75 wrs in the nation according to rivals, but he seems to be the go to wr, he was the tems leading wr for the past 2 weeks, payne had a good game rushing vs mesquite horn i think payne needs to be a straight hb, and payne also seemed a little lazy on his routes, and i believe that montgomery needs to get more credit than what he is getting, but he also needs to run his routes a little better. what do you think about the two wrs

payne is listed as a wr on the roster last i checked, and i know the south rbs are a couple of sophs and a jr, but i just thought that payne would have at least 250 receiving yards by now but not 5 or 6,

They don't have a passing QB this year and that usually helps the stats.

KT is right, if we had a passing game Payne would have 150+ yards by now. He's (Payne) the guy we go to at the goal line to punch it in for a td cause' of his size and power. Montgomery is quicker (not faster, I think payne has a better 4-40 but Montgomery can beat his man off the line better) and has better hands the Payne so he (Montgomery) is the go to guy when we need a big pass. By the time we really need Payne to get into the passing game (The Garland game) our QB will hopfuly be able to put together a passing drive when we need it.

i think that they are equally fast because last i heard was that both ran a 4.43 at the same time, but either way they are both fast. but the qb is some what of the problem, although i think he might be better as the season goes on and both payne and montgomery will alot better stats, but i know payne is going to UT, is there any word on where montgomery is committing to

hey roughrider... who have yall played? ohh yea, bryan adams and molina... what class are they in, and are they even ranked? come on now, garland has played two teams that were both top 20 in area and get to play two more w/ in the next two weeks. until sasche comes out w/ a district win yall shouldnt even be talking on here.... gotta earn some district respect first

Rough I seriously hope your not trying to dog Garland while your sitting over here playing teams like frisco centennial who didnt score a single point in a single game last year. Wait until district and Sachse will start getting killed every game just like last year.

Take it for what it is, but we are 2-0, leading the conference in wins... We are going to surprise a few folks with district wins this season.... BEWARE!

i dont know about all that but waht i do know is that south needs to find away to get the ball into the endzone, the south defense has been doing great its just that they can never rest because the offense is always going 3 and out, i feel that they need to pass the ball more because montgomery is leading the team in catches with 7 for only 85 yards and next is payne with 3 catches for 5 yards and then strait has 1 catch for 2 yards, i mean am i the only one who sees something wrong with that, you can say its the qb but they have to let him throw the ball if they expect him to get any better

I'm hoping that Roberts learns how to run the option well. If we can do that I think the passing game will open up. He also needs to work on throwing it harder, during the Plano West game he semmed to be lobing it out there for the DB's to pick off or knock down. If we don't blow W.T. White out I will be shaking in my boots when we have to play SGP and Garland. Roberts is fast but he can never seem to find the holes in the line and can never seem to shake off tackles and break big gains.

one thing i know is these two guys need to have a good game vs w.t. white but i think payne will have a great game rushing but who knows about receiving, and from what i hear montgomery might be the inside wr but im not sure if that is true or if that is just for this week or what. but they should have a good game.
