they have aaron rogers but theres a 60 year old road block in his way right now. The good news is look at all the sucess qb's have if they sit on the sidelines for a year or 2 (I dont know if sitting out for 5 years helps though  )

Cinco DOS EQUIS...and if you think Favre is the problem (assuming the reference was to him)...then either...
1) You know nothing about football...
2) You just haven't watched the games...
3) You are just a hated that post smack...
I don't know which...but I'd bet you are one of the above...

4) I respect the man and his accomplishments and I do not hate him like a good chunk of the country does (which i do not understand why they do) and I think he is the only thing holding them from going rock bottom, however its becoming more and more evident in the NFL that a team must hit rock bottom before they can begin to build up, the Bengals hit rock bottom in the 90's and earlier this decade but have become a dangerous team, the same can be said of Oakland now which is at rock bottom but every now and then you can see flashes of improvment, and with a few good drafts they could be a decent team by the end of the decade. Same for the Texans which hit rock bottom last year and have bgun to build up, and the Titans which hit rock bottom a few seasons ago and are now a team no one wants to play knocking off NYG and Indy. I think the packers need to hit rock bottom so they can get that behind them and begin to build a new team with its own identity and players seperate from the teams of the 90's that were so good.
Favre is still an excellent player wwhich is amazing since he hasnt missed a gme in years and hes as old as he is but the packers will never be a good playoff team again until Aaron Rogers or another QB takes the helm and a new team is built around them.

He hasn't been around as long as Marino was. The reason I'm glad he is still around (along with other fans and coaching staff) is the experience of the current team. This team, the youngest in the NFL, had low wxpectations coming in. I, like the coaching staff, believed there was no compelling reason to stick a young QB in behind a bunch of freshmen. Mike McCarthy did not take the job to loss games. He'll make that change when the team is ready and can welcome a young, inexperienced leader.

No I do not think he is the problem at all so no i am none of the above but think about it will Farve come back next year? most likley not would it not be great to get a QB like Troy Smith or Brady Quinn to take his place. Hell there are a lot of great QB's in next years draft and the higher the pick the better no?
