i am tired of rex grossman, i have given him a chance while everyone told me how much he sucked, ive stuck by him, up until that loss against the Pats. HE single handily lost that game for us. we need somebody who could throw the ball to the BEAR players not the defense. i know were 9-2, but we cant rely on this defense. i seriously believe if grossman, played like i thought he was capable of, we'd be 12-0 right now with blowouts in every game. he just costs us, big time, and the defense bails him out, as does gould (the kicker)

WE WANT GRIESE! (or we'll trade for romo!:D )

You can trade for Brunell.....seriously, we'll give you a good deal!

Grossman, this is like his second full year though, right? YOu can't expect him to play lights out. And if he's the future you can't bench him and send him the wrong message.

Same with Eli in NY.

i know, i really think grossman will be great, but this defense is special this year. i dont want it to be ruined because hes not ready yet. griese is experienced and can "manage" games, plus with Thomas Jones finally playing great, with Cedric Benson to accompany him, thats all he has to do. grosman tries to do to much, it may be the play calling i dont know.

Thats the biggest problem with starting young qbs. Once you go with'em. You HAVE to keep with them. An example would be Pat Ramsey. He was practically a yo-yo under Steve Spurrier in Washington. And now whatever potential he had is completely ruined.

The only way Griese sees the field is if their is an injury or "injury" to Grossman.

there bears aren't asking rex to win games, they are asking him not to lose. it's hard to win championships with that mindset, especially this year with quite a few solid teams in the NFC. the bears are gonna have to keep holding out until the draft or free agency until they can pick up a gunslinger

sorry, bamf their asking him to win..

last year orton barely threw it, now this year rex throws it all the time, now it turns to an INT..

if we get home field, i think we'll be fine though, grossman is awesome at home

Sorry, but when you play not to lose, you lose.

hes got the arm, he played in the steve spurrier offense, he just makes bad decisions and uses to much or not enough arm..it might be not playing the last few years, idk

Thats exactly what it is. Tony Romo might not have played the past 4 years, but he sat and learned from 2 great veteran quarterbacks(Testiverde and Bledsoe). This is why he is playing like a veteran, because he has been able to practice under this system for 4 years now while learning from 2 of the best at his position. Bledsoe and Testiverde might not be QB's to learn from about mobility, but they can sure teach you great mechanics, and how to look at everyone on the field and not just singling one reciever out every play.

Grossman has not been able to do this the past 3 years, because he has been injured way to much. He sat on the sidelines at practice and at the games because of it. He didn't get the time to grow as a QB like Tony Romo did. Give it time, it is almost like Grossman is a rookie again. I think he has only played about 17 games in his 3 year career. Thats barely over a seasons worth of playing time, so look at it as if he was just going into his second year as a starter with a few growing pains to still be worked out.

By the way, i see Dallas vs. Chicago in the NFC Championship playing at Soldier Field. Dallas's 3-4 defense will rattle up Rex(just like the 3-4 defense of the Pats did) while he throws 2 INT's, loosing to the Cowboys 14-10.:D

Chicago has the talent to pound it out on the ground, with two guys that can really run inside in Jones and Benson, I've never understood why they don't do that more often. They NEED griese right now though, this is one of the best Chicago teams i've ever seen, and if they don't hurry up and make the change their whole season could be lost because they don't want to hurt their QBs confidence for the future. I think Chicago wants to win NOW.

I agree that this is one of the best Chicago teams, but you can't bench Grossman. He is their future, and you can't do that to your franchise QB. You would ruin him for his career, and that is NOT something the Bears want to do right now. Don't forget that their defense is pretty young, so they will be good for years to come. They don't need to rush a championship right away with all the young talent on that team...Offensively and defensively.

If there was ever a poster on this board that should have given up on an NFL QB...it's me...
Just because he may beat Favre's INT number from last year:mad: is no reason to give up...
He'll come around...
Maybe...

i know he will, but not this year

its just a mental thing, he cant take the blitz, at all

if he worked in the offseason, trying to play against the blitz, itd help him, drastically. thats why he was so good early, then AZ figured out to blitz him, and hes sucked since

That's a good question, one that Lovie is hoping will be answered next Sunday.

I don't think Chicago fans and Lovie Smith will really know what they have in Rex until playoff time. Lets see if he can win in a clutch situation when he has to lead his team on a game winning drive late in the 4th quarter. Playoffs is a whole new atmosphere for young qb's. And even though Rex has played in one playoff game, he didn't quite have a good performance. Anyone remember last year against the Panthers? Hopefully for Chicago and their fans, he can turn it up a notch in this years playoffs.

However, I'm a Cowboy fan, and I just hope we can fix our secondary troubles before playoffs start! Thats if we even get to the playoffs! We don't have anything on lock now that the Giants and Eagles are winning games again. Garcia is saving the Eagles season, which could be a harder challenge on Christmas day for the 'Boys then we thought. But i still have my faith in them..GO COWBOYS!
