Well I just got back from the Trinity/Midland Lee game, so I dont know for sure. Garlandowls.com says that they lost in 5 Ot 50-56, so ill believe that.

Yes, it was easily the most intense game i've been to. Not one field goal was kicked, although the owls did block one. Both teams had a 2 point conversion in the 4th OT. Great game. props to DeSoto. it wasn't district and it gives us more motivation against Ennis. Gig 'em Owls.

it was by far the worst ive seen us play since longview (3 yrs ago).... i mean, i dont know what happened. our d didnt show up except for random moments, and then our offense was just slackin for so long. We fumbled twice inside the 10! we pretty much beat ourself in this one, but i dont think we should have won w/ the way we played. Congrats. to Desoto

Frustrating Loss..... would of loved to end the losing streak we have. 3 years now Garland has lost in the last second to DeSoto. It is just because both of these teams are so simular, whoever makes the most mistakes loses... and i would say Garland did with 8 fumbles and 5 of those lost.

How's this for crazy:
Sachse is the only team in the district without a loss...

Lots of amazing things in this game.
For most of the first quarter Garland looked helpless. Conan the Barbarian from last week had turned into a CareBear. 56-0 looked not just possible, but inevitable.
Then they got up off of the floor and went to work. They took control of their emotions and started playing football. I can't remember when I've seen a team come back from being so far out of it emotionally. For this I was extremely proud of them.
There was very little mediocrity from the Garland Owls in any aspect of the game. Running, passing, defense, each was great or terrible, and you never knew what the next play would bring. There was enough greatness to get them back in the game and through four overtimes.

The loss was hard but its a good thing so the players dont think there unbeatable.
