Ok don't stone me for this one Mustang fans. Yes we went out and made easy work of Hastings. Though I think we all knew how this one would end before it ever started. After two games the D is lookign really dialed in. Though again tonight we gave up a couple of pretty good runs which is something we have got to cut down on. As for the offense while they are moving the ball quite well. We had a couple of fumbles tonight though I'm sure those who dropped the ball will be on the practice field tomorrow morning and throughout this next week. It still to early in my book to really say what kind of team we really have. Next week will hopefully be a game where we get tested.

Well, honestly, I don't know if I would use Hasting and Elsik as a benchmark for your team... their combined record for last season is 6-14... and apparently they aren't doing much better this year....

well... it was a good effort.. but im still not convinced they are world beaters just yet... i think the woodlands game will be a good measuring stick...im still waiting to see if there are any mental implications from that disaster against westfield last year.... however.. i do think this team is good.. offense looks powerful.. and defense looks dominant but not as dominant as ive seen in the past... but they look like they have the talent to improve to a top notch level and be in the hunt for a region title.. and maybe even a state trophy as well..... good effort thus far.. and i am liking what i see so far....

I went to the game last night and was really impressed by the mustangs offense they just seemed so smooth and effortless kinda like watching vincent young run the football. But their defense did not impress me at all. I mean they gave up 221 yards rushing against a very weak hastings team. I just think if north shore's D doesnt step it up its gonna be a short exit out of the playoffs again. Ns just got lucky they couldnt hold onto the ball after big runs or else they would have scored more points. Anyways congrats to ns on another win but i hope there D makes adjustments.

Hastings lone TD was given up by the 2nd/3rd string defense and that was late in the 2nd half - game was over at half time.

1st string offense only played two quarters at the most. Cain did start the 2nd half but he did not play most of the 2nd quarter. The 2nd half plays were very conservative and basically they were running out the clock.

I was disappointed in Hastings - thought they would put up a better fight.

They got about 3 first downs to start the game, when their quarterback made some plays- but then NS adjusted and put a stop to that and it was downhill for Hastings from there.

i agree with the comments about the defense needing to step it up.. i think they are just a lil off with timing right now... the athletes and talent is there.. but i think they are making some mistakes but... nothing that cant be corrected soon.. so thats a good thing..... in my opinion... i think the need to move chykie brown to FS so he can be more involved... dont get me wrong.. hes a heck of a cover DB and a big time hitter...hes got the size and the speed... but i think for THIS team he could be better suited at FS where he could be involved in every play involving the secondary....except for this next game involving the woods where he will be one one one with drabek.. what a match up....anyway.. just my two cents... i know it wont happen...but... chykie is the real deal so far. and he will be a super DB in college... mcleroy (sp?) is also showing some talent .... cant wait for next saturday at the woods..... good luck to both teams.. :p
