Man...I'm glad football is back.
And I'm glad Y101 is broadcasting the games this year. 100x better than TSRN...Game hasn't broke up one time. I love it.

Sidenote- My 8 year old bought me one of those rubber bracelets that says "I love football" on it...Guess what color it is ...that's right....Pack Purple...

Hey maybe Ike might not have a great offense but having a defense fly all over the field making stops makes you look worse. Man all I can say is WOW. Our defense was....FAST!!! I knew they would be but when you see them in a REAL GAME it is just unbelievable. Speed everywhere. Yes Ike had some bad snaps when they tried to punt which lead to some scores but......dang.....why did they have to punt so much? Did the Purple Swarm have anything to do with it? :eek: The offense will only get better and what matters is they got the Job done and put some scores on the board rather early. Heck our second string defense was all over Ike too. One game at a time though. I will just wait and be more impressed with each game.

Aldine might not be a good team but they did manage to put up 21 points against 5ATexasfootball.com's pick for the 22nd spot on their top 25 of 5A teams in Texas. I am not saying A&M Consolidated is a power house like SLC or Longview but they are in the top 25 according to the administrators of this website. And from what I have read in this forum a majority of members agreed with the rankings. So even though they might not be that great, I still say our defense made them look worse. Good luck to Ike on the rest of the season.

I'm sure he knows what he is talking about. However, to start the season off under the microscope and come out and put up one half a C-note on a team from H-town, shows promise to me. I am very excited to see this group develop over the next few weeks. This win could be key for their growth from here on out. Sounds like the D is ready to play with anybody.

LP - you have got to watch the Lufkin D if at all possible. They are the fastest defense I have ever seen in HS ball. I didn't see Dallas Carter in '88 -- but I think we got 'em beat.

Mandella Roberts had 5 sacks against a quick qb. Pinson, Taylor, Taylor, Hewitt, Harris -- It's almost unreal - but it is dang fun to watch.

Oh yes and the Panthers did play tonight and played well but we did have 3 turnover so that can be better. we missed a extra point after a flag and then we missed the swing and gate. thos are the only neg things and I am sure after outlaw and crew break down the film there will be some more mistakes to learn from this was a great win but the season is not over and we have the Titans next so lets have a good week at work and get ready for them.

I mean does he realize how dumb he looks to talk smack to a team that has beat his team 9 times in a row in only 6 years in real football games?? I do not know about you but i would be completely embarrassed to talk poop if i was in his shoes?? I mean the guy has no shame. I told you that you would see the real panthers once the regular season started and they did not let me down. I mean to hold any 5a team to negative total yards for the whole game is absolutely amazing. What did Ike have -25 total yards?? :eek: I have never heard of that has anybody else?? This defense is scary scary fast like i knew they would be!! O-line blocked great and Kibble and Nicolas run hard. Shankle had 1 carry for about 50 plus yards and a td and about a 40 yard catch. Thomas had a long td pass also!! All you have to do is throw it up to Dez Bryant and it is a catch. :eek: I am telling you this panther team is fine and you people that were going by scrimmage games need help. The patriots lost a scrimmage game 27-3 to some nobody team last night so do you think they are freaking out?? NO!! LOL I am sure the starters played 1 quarter and they did not take the game serious. It is called common sense!! All i have to say is thank God the real games have started.

So how many times are you going to say something about our schedule. You have already commented about it several times so why say it again. I think everyone that is on here that is a Lufkin fan has seen you make a comment about it before. If that is all you got to make you feel any better about Lufkin's success in its first week then that is pretty sad. I would go as far as to say that Lufkin would have done a way better job against a good Marshall team then what you guys did. Say whatever you want about when we bring up a scrimmage because the only reason we bring it up is because it is obvious to clueless people like you that you base our performance this year off of what you saw at the scrimmage. And then If we have any kind of success you just attribute it to the fact that we have a weak schedule. So it seems to me that under that Mr. nice guy, scripture qouting facade, that you are really a jealous person who somehow has to make another team's success seem insignificant. Remember "out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks." I think you should learn a little humility and keep in mind that you reap what you sow.

Lighten up on Rclisle Pack - he's a good guy. He does need to remember, however, that Coach Owens bailed on Lufkin - which is an unbelievably low class move - and his strained relationship with Coach O is probably now on ice. Our schedule is 98% out of our control right now.

If you grew up a sports fan in these towns it was hard not to have a healthy dislike for these other schools by the time you were 12. And you can include John Tyler, Nacogdoches, and Marshall.

Is it common to play in basically the same district for 50 years? I know the LSWC has been together forever.
