Ike is just a vary very bad team not like they were 5 years ago. but man if the pack O can play like this then it is going to be a good season with those Receivers man they are a dangerous team and can score from anywere.

Lufkin D has 6 sacks. I dont think that IKE will get over 100 yards total. I hope them Texas Longhorns can play this good.
Lufkin is doing what a good team is suppose to do. And we are putting in the backups to the backups we are not trying to run uf the score. Oh just hurd

he is doing good he has 2 int but he has done well The Lufkin D has shut them down they have -29 yards on Offense so the D has played and left the Lufkin O with short fields and the pack is just throwing over the top of them. Lufkin sounds like they are in midseason form. the O just has to get better and this team will become dangerous.

Maybe it was a long time ago...I know back when I was on the East Coast...they were ranked....I thought it was pretty high.

Ike was a very very good team in the 90's and early 00's. They have went downhill since 2002. Ike still almost beat a top 25 team last week and Ike was 6-4 and a playoff team last year. It is not embarrassing to get spanked by Lufkin!! It has happened often. Even ask 5a mega power Katy!! It happens.

I think Ike will win some games this year- they were bigger than the Pack and had some athletes but their O never had a chance. By the time the 3rd qtr rolled around Im sure they were a little gun shy. Great LB play led by Roberts. That guy looks like LeBrandon Shepherd-maybe better.I dont think we will win every game 51-0 but that D is scary. Probably the most dominating defensive effort Ive ever seen.

Ike had some great athletes, I think one of the big differences was bad coaching and horrible discipline as well as the purple swarm all over their butt. Eisenhower used to be hard to handle

Ike just ain't what they used to be. They changed coaches, then tried to run the spread and are now changing the offense again. It was a bad time for them to be playing the Panthers. But I guess there is no good time to play the Panthers especially in Ol' Abe.
So 08, is the Pack back?

Ike looked awfully studdish in warm-ups - downhill from there. They were loaded with 6'2 - 220 lb. kids that are fast - they just did not play. Yep on the coaching - 2nd coach in two years. The program needs some major help in that dept. A young stud coach could make it a power again in short order. They should have tried to get Urban Meyer ;)

Actually, IKE went back to the original offense that made them successful under Coach Carson for so many years. IKE's new coach is Darrell Phillips who has been an assisstant at Eisenhower about 8 or 9 years.

If you have a great seconday, IKE can't compete. They busted a long run, a kick off return and a long pass or two on us last week. Our safety got burned a time or two. They put in some speedier guy and then IKE's long passes were shut down.
Undisciplined would be a great way to describe them. Penalty after penalty after penalty last week.
I am a homer for sure. Last week we were ready to bury them during the first half but let them hang in there. Part of our not burying them had to do with our own offensive issues. We were rotating 3 different QB, one per series. No consistency that first half. Had we used the same QB the entire first half, I think we'd have had them 28-0 at the half instead of 14-0. No excuses though. Didn't put them away quickly.
Seems Consol has chosen their QB now. The kid that played the entire 2nd half did a good job and the Offense was clicking pretty well with him.
IKE had some good thugs...err... athletes, but they could not play as a team. And, if I understand things correctly, Lufkin can hang with any thugs that want to stop by.

FYI wide, Claybon is 6'1 so i do not exactly consider that short. I consider Doug Flutie short.

I don't agree. I just call them as I see them. I saw 5 completely cheap shots in the game versus Consol. I stand by my statement.

ike's freshman teams looked like the old ike with coach carson. they had a number seven on the second team that played who could do it all. Running back, line backer and receiver he was a stud
