I deleted the seniors from Trinity's Roster. I think the running back tandem of Baker and Robinson will be as good as any in the state next year. Several of these boys started but our lineup changed from week to week due to injuries. Most of these boys got a lot of playing time this year and the lineman will grow another year. A couple of freshman not listed played also.

If you're making a statement the ET will be back next year competitively, I don't think you'll find much disagreement around here.;)

The last I heard it was Iowa, Kansas and North Texas. That was a few weeks ago. I am sure there is a whole lot more interest out there.

I personally don't know but every year we have a great team and we do it year in and year out without D-1 prospects. They just don't get much attention since most of the time they didn't start until their senor year.
With the amount of players in the Trinity football system,( two JV's a soph team and the 5 freshmen teams + the varsity, just using an average of 65 on a roster = 585 players...The varsity has around 95 players) non-Sr starters are a rarity and to be recognized before the their Sr season begins you would almost have to be a starter as an underclassmen. It's only natrual that when everthing is even between several players you reward the SR with the starting job.

Oh ya, I know how impressive ET program has been over the last 7 or so years. I saw the ET vs Lufkin playoff game a few years ago when ET lost it late.
I'm just impressed by the number of kids and the overall size and speed of the kids in the program. ET reminds me of some of the North Shore teams I saw in the 1990's that looked like a major college program with the overall size of the kids.
I was just wondering if anyone knows who all is getting some serious looks at ET. I'm sure about 5 or 6 kids. I was impressed with the WR-King myself. He would be a superstar if he played an a offense that threw the football more (SLC, Allen, Colleyville Hertigage) he would have freaking 20 offers right now.
But ya, when you have over 400 kids playing in your High school program you just cant help but have a lot of very very good players and tons of "depth."

Thanks BaylorDad! I thought Robert Griffin was a senior? If not, then great!
It seems like we are going to be a smaller in size team next year. Lots of depth at QB.
For some reason we seem to get overlooked in the college recruiting dept. I was amazed that more schools did not go after Dimitri Nance last year.
I don't know about Marcus King, but he is incredible. What really hurts him is the fact that we only pass about 10 times per game.
Jordan Scoggins has been getting several looks since last year, but I don't know where he is looking.
Justice Campbell would be a great player at the next level and beyond.
Youri Yenga would like to go locally.

QBs do not look very tall - will they be able to see over the usual huge O-line.

I don't think we will be smaller next year. Every year there are some guys who grow into a large guy from the year earlier. Also, the sizes listed on our programs are from the spring anyway. I noticed that there were several players this year that had grown since the spring. Youri Yenga was listed at 6'1" and I swear I think he is now 6'3" or 6"4" now.

Fono Vakalahi who grew up in Euless but spent the last two years in Seattle will replace Naki Vaitai as the leader on the offensive Line - he's the younger brother of former All-State Moses Vakalahi - and Fono is reportedly bigger and better than Moses. The Center on the JV squad is bigger than Gratzke and he's a player. Both are bigger than the players they are replacing so the Trojans will be bigger on the offensive line, perhaps even better since Kautai, Adams and Tualau will be one year older and wiser as well.
Quarterbacks will be competetive since there are currently three sophomores who like Vittatoe from last years championship team - are all playmakers - especially Kautai - watch out for this kid. I'll be happy with any of them. I'd even have taken one of them this year - but physically they weren't ready to take the pounding - mentally they're ready, but they could all use one more year to get bigger.
Reciever - watch out for Mark Apo - the second coming of Marcus King - wait and see. Had his father not withdrawn him from the program earlier this year we'd have seen a lot more of him - tall, fast and great hands, needs to improve route running.
TE - Josh Ayers returns and will get a lot of looks from whoever assumes the QB mantle.
RB - Samir Baker and Robinson - Robinson - the second coming of La Derrick Handy mabye even Nance, will probably be better than both. Samir Baker - smallish but lightning quick with breakaway speed - will be a specialist due to his lack of power.
Secondary returns A ton of talent - Bowie, Heimuli and Smith will be sorely missed nonetheless.
LB - we never seem to have a shortage of these - But we lose four special ones in Likio, Johnson, #93 and Mr everything DL/LB Youri Yenga.
DL - Griffith returns along with Leota. But we lose Yandall, Kautai and Vakalahi - a big hit indeed.
Offensively we will be fine maybe even better by playoff time - but How do you replace a front seven like that? Only two return and Yenga leaves a huge void.

Nice post! Sure could have used a little more speed at the QB position in the SLC game.

I think samir baker will be the suprise of next season. he looks very powerful already for a small guy and will have all year to put on some size. hes very fast and seems to be very slippery.
The secondary will be a strength indeed next year. they have tons of young talent coming up.
