I can see Westwood causing Westlake ALOT of problems. Westwood=the texas tech of 15-5a. No run game, no defense, and an amazing passing game, that will win them games. If Westlake can't put points on the board to match Westwood, because no matter what you think almost, Westwood will put points on the board, then Westlake will be in alot of trouble. I'll be rooting for Westlake for the simple fact that Westwood scares me more than everybody in our district except for Pflugerville, and i'd like to see them shut down lol.
Westlake 42
Westwood 31
....But if Westwood wins, i see them winning big.

History says that Westlake will lose and then go on to at least the state semi-finals (see 2001 and 2003).
Seriously, I think that this will be a long game due to all of Westwood's passing attempts. Westlake has the talent to dominate this matchup, but as LL3033 said, Westwood can score alot, and quickly. They had over 340 yds. passing against SV last week! Hopefully the Chaps can grind up the clock on the ground and out last the Warriors.

2001 was a saturday game, we would have won but most of the offense was hungover. :D
i know winning at this point isnt as important as trying to develop your team and see what works and what dosent, but i hate to see any of my teams loose. :D

I nominate this as the best all-time reason for a team having lost a game. :)
I hate it when my offense is hung-over! haha!

And this shows why Texas football is ridiculous in its system. Whats the point of non-district games if they don't mean squat.
McNeil was 7-6 last year and "made noise" Are you kidding??

I picked Westlake....just because they are "Westlake"......but, it took me a few minutes on that one.........Westwood could easily win that game.

If they did count, you'd have some horrible non-district matchups. If there was a much smaller pool of teams I would agree, but with the current system, teams can play very tough oponents in preparation for district or playoffs. The kids themselves have pride in the non-district schedule. Teams want to win them all. Especially in a physical sport, where losing doesn't just get one's feelings hurt.
