Guys, I could not be a more proud uncle than I am. My nephew, if you recall, was hired on at Westlake this year after 3 years at Hereford as an O-line coach. Well, he also got the job of coaching one of two JV teams. That JV team went 10-0 and only had 28 points scored on it all year. Wish I could be back there to watch Westlake in the playoffs, but I will just have to settle for South Carolina playoff football instead.

There is often very little thanks for the hard work of the offensive line, but the o-line coach has alot to do with the enthusiasm, work ethic, and overall fun of the offensive line as well as the success of the team. Congratulations to your nephew for his contributions for this success! The JV work ethic also has alot to do with the success of the Varsity team.

Big -Ol-Congrats to your nephew and you the proud uncle. I was an O-liner and someone said it right, little pub. but much respect from anyone who has ever put on the gear. A coach once told me to go make a body pile and let the little fast guys do the rest.

Your nephew did a great job with the kids he coached this year. You should be very proud of him. He has earned the respect of our community in a very short time.

Congrats, Unc! You have reason to be proud. O-Line coaches go on to be Offensive Coordinators who go on to be Head Coaches.

Steve Ramsey is the O-Line coach at Westlake. Chad Burnett is coaching Wrestling right now. He did not coach the JV either, he coached the Freshman B team.

Hey SCFOOTBALL, I think it's funny how all those Ohio blowhards were dogging SC football after Brynes beat Moeller (in Ohio) and all they (Ohio blowhards) were just saying how that just shows how superior Ohio football is to SC football.
Well, looks like Byrnes wasnt even the best in South Carolina after all. In fact it sure looks like Gaffney owned Byrnes this season after beating them twice.
I spent five weeks in Arkansas this year. They were also dogging Springdale high after they got blowout like 45-7 in Ohio. I was at the Springdale vs Fort Smith Southside game and Southside blewout Springdale like 45-10 and I thought " Well, Southside is probably just as good as that Ohio team but they didnt have to travel to Ohio to play."
The funny thing is I saw Bentonville beatup Southside a couple of weeks later.
