Kelly Anderson and Shonel Reyes.

Both juniors with no previous varsity experience.

In a 31-10 season-opening victory against East Central last week, the two combined for 284 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Anderson had 173 yards on 18 carries, and Reyes had 111 on 17.

Are both or at least one of these guys going to be a major player this year or next?

If Roosevelt can keep good lines, then they will be good.

Did I read that post right ? they did it against East Central right ? and we are talking about Football right - not basketball ? I mean Tony Terrell, Richard Jones or Stanley Bonewitz aren't back are they ? This is East Central's defense we are talking about and we want to make these 2 kids stars? I have to be missing something - hold on let me check the state rankings -- nope dont see east central there. Somebody tell me - what am I missing ?

We'll find out more tonight when they face a whole lot stiffer defense! No doubt if they have talent they will shine running the ball at Roosevelt for coach Hill.

I wouldn't get to far ahead of myself about these two guys. They put good numbers against a pretty bad team last week, and I would be surprised to see either of them get more than 75 yards against Clemens. Roosvelt is playing in one of the toughest districts in the state, where these two would be just normal runningbacks, when they play SV and Judson and even Clemens.
