Got to see Trinity play list last week guys--Got to tell you I was extremely impressed with their skill kids. They are huge and play hard up front on the offensive side. On the defensive side there are some very good kids but they still have a little work to do. Make no mistake about it---they were much better than Desoto, and says it all.

Lets look at the nine teams remaining, I'll rate their chances on a scale of 1-10, 1 being no chance at all and 10 being an extremely legit threat to win.

Midland Lee: 5/10, they are a bit dejected and probably intimidated by the offensive line
Tyler Lee: 9/10, home game and a rivalry that appears to be in the making. This team has the best chance of winning.
Coppell: 4/10, I don't know if their front 7 on defense is physical enough to handle the run
Nimitz: 1/10, no
Grand Prairie: 0/10
Bell: 4/10, on paper it looks like a blowout but its a rivalry game and anything can happen because we will come to play this game probably harder than any other game this season
Irving: 8/10, home game and probably the biggest threat to defeat Trinity in the district
SGP: 7/10, their defense is good enough but is their offense as well?
MacArthur: 6/10, home game, and if a playoff spot is on the line for Mac I bet they have a chance

I think Tyler Lee will give Trinity all they can handle out in Tyler, in a few weeks. As far as the playoffs go, Trinity and Duncanville look to meet again, and that will be a very good football game. Judson, Westfield and North Shore seem that they could also give Trinity some fits, so to answer your question, yes Trinity can be beat, only time will tell if they do get beat.

Trinity is good -- but Desoto looked like crap too -- they had zero passing game -- weak defense -- if Trinity is going to be beat, it will be by a team that can pass the ball and play defense --

Yeah, I like the Spring Westfield team. Saw them play a few times last year, and will go seem them tonight!!

Judson and North Shore are always good match ups. Is Duncanville good this year? Haven't seem them play, what do they look like?

Garland looks strong and of course Southlake Carroll!!

But I'm really looking forward to watching this Westfield squad.

Shot themselves in the foot a few times...lost have of their rushing attack in the first quarter and still made a game of it....not bad. The pick for a TD hurt them...Red Raiders were good too. Gonna try to make the trip to see Westfield tonight...but I just saw a gas station in Sugar Land that said $3.13 for gas....that hurts....can i catch it on the radio or something? I can always watch the college football double header tonight on ESPN2.

I was actually talking about district play--but that is alright. You are right Desoto did look like crap--but that is also a reflection of how Trinity made them look. Also, they had three starters including their Qb go out during the course of the game. I bet Desoto bounces back this week and plays much better.

Hey also, I normally go see Garland play a few times--Did any of you guys go to the game? I know what the paper said but I was wondering what that defense looked like in person.

Desoto will bounce back, but they're playing a very tough Garland team. I think the regular season will be as exciting as the playoffs in the DFW and East Texas region. However, clearly, there are several powerhouses in Houston and San Antonio. North Shore, Katy, Spring Westfield, Judson, Coperas Cove and Pflugerville. Oh and I saw A&M Consolidated play last weekend, against a good Eisenhower team,...wow A&M looked pretty good. Leander upset Westlake, so no telling what they could do.

In the west, it's upside down...both Midland High and Odessa high are poising themselves to upset their big brothers Lee and Permian. And I thought both Lee and Cooper were going to be tough this year...doesn't seem that way so far.

Then again it's only been one week!

Euless Trinity may make a run...but they're going to play some stiff contests soon...they play Midland Lee, Tyler Lee, Coppell and Irving Nimitz in a row....wow!!!

Goodluck!! :D

Nope, Trinity will go 10-0 and make a run at the DI state championship

Midland Lee: 5/10, it'll be closer then the desoto game but Euless Trinity is alot bigger and better
Tyler Lee: 9/10, as BHS stated, this is a rivalry in the the making, I think if any team this season can beat Trinity it is Tyler Lee
Coppell: 4/10, Offensivly I think Coppell can keep but, but Trinitys Offensive unit is to big...All they have to do is maintain there blocks and go long!
Nimitz: 1/10, not a chance, Trinity will win this one big
Grand Prairie: Trinity will blow this team out of the water, it wont even be again, if were the GP coachs i would forfit this game
Bell: 4/10, this game wil lbe a dirty, Bell is looking for some revenge, anything is possible in a rivalry game, but in all honesty, I think Trinity will come out on top.
Irving: 8/10, this game will be alot like the Coppell game, if trinity gets beat by coppell, they will lose to irving as well.
SGP: 7/10, This might end up being a close game, I think SGP might be able to beat Trinity but doubtfull
MacArthur: 6/10, Trinity is looking for revenge, big time, they stole the 6-5a district tital from them last year, so im thinkin this might be the game of the week in 6-5A

I guess the Dallas Carter's and The Woodlands of the world should just go ahead and mail in their season and start working towards next year.

The key to beating Trinity is to hide the pigs they roast whole in the ground. Those Tongans will starve. ;)

I attend Garland - and the D looked very promising - but im used to an outstanding defense so I dont really know what to compare it to. When the entire second team was in they looked a little weak - but as long as majority first team was in they looked very solid. 31 rushing yards on 16 carries...1 first down in the first half. Antwine is just a beast in the middle...every play 2 blockers and he normally breaks through.
