the power rankings can be used to create a spread, but they tend to be inaccurate for the first month or so.

you are correct butterfly. the wagers so far are between friends at the starbucks, more out of pride than for profit. nothing like taking your cubiclemates golf winnings on monday.

I haven't had to break any legs yet but I have had to threaten. As long as I am claiming 3 for 2 and doubling every 4 weeks I am fine though

How many points would you have given me to take Smithson Valley in '04??

We could have made some cash on that game. No way anyone would give less than 21 to even that one out. And you know I would have taken SV if I were a betting man cause I am like a huge fan. I would have bet just win/loss as well. If you look at my posts from last year (well different name, fogot info again) I argued til I was blue in the face that SV would get real close (within a TD, if not win it) That was not me being a fan talking, that was me seeing what SV did to prepare. They spent two years breaking down SLC and the spread, while implementing it somewhat into their offense. If they would have just had a little more talent, it would have paid off. They also lost their starting RB the week before which didnt help. Oh well, more to come, and the best team won that game. All you can do is hope for another, and that would be great cause both teams would have a nice matchup to each other on paper this time the way it is going so far (still too early to tell for sure)

Was I the only one that thought of something non football related when reading the title of this thread?

Probably, what was it. I did reading the title, but not the tread. Did you pick something up in the tread as well?
