I'm very proud of the way the Ganders represented themselves tonight... unfortunately this makes me believe that PAM will be able to handle La Porte by 2 TDs...

I think Shore probably overlooked Lee...normally, when a great team plays down to their competetion, they normally find themselves in games like this.....heck, maybe North Shore was looking ahead to Dulles or Pearland next week, and thought they would just roll over Lee.....this is how high school football should be played every week.....

North Shore fumbled 3 times tonight... they need to fix that before the 3rd round. They might be able to get away with that against Dulles or Pearland, but they certainly will be in trouble if this trend continues for the next 2 weeks.

The only thing they were looking at was the back of Lee's jersey's most of the night.

This was a good game tonight, a great game even. Two good teams, evenly matched. I bet when the NS fans get home they will even tell you, there was no overlooking to it. Lee just played well tonight and had their starting qb back(hobbled as he was).

Lee was a really good team by the end of the year, and it showed tonight.

Great game by North SHore. I think in the end, the breaks and the penalties all evened out basically and the best team won.

NS is a good team. But, they didn't overlook anybody, they just ran into an evenly matched team tonight.

They do need to get it together. But these stupid mistakes will hurt you, and they happen. They need to protect it better.

But this was good for them at the same time. They really want to go all the way this year so they need to take this game and make it better. And it's good that it's early in the playoff rounds against a good team like Lee.

Red Raider - please read what every is saying. This was a great game. Give Baytown Lee credit. If you know the history of these two teams - you will know that they have always played this type of game. Northshore is only a 10 to15 min. drive from Baytown - there is an area rivalry there. Everyone has griped about NS isn't tested - well Boo-hoo - NS got tested and won.

yes it was a good game.... and no north shore didnt overlook anyone.. lee is a solid team... and a solid program.. our defense played well.. though the box score wont show it... we won it with defense.. offense sputtered yet again.. but like you said.. the mistakes evened out... the calls evened out... no biggie.... its tough to hold that sort of explosive offense to under 200yds.. i knew that wasnt going to happen... but when it mattered.. which at the beginning of the 4th.. you guys probably had 350 yds of offense and only 10 pts... where we had about 150yds of offense and had that same 10 points...the defense played well... i dont care how you slice it... but i knew this was going to be a good game.. but not this good! it was fun to watch.. and yes.. this was not the same lee team that started out the year... this team is good... with a good offense.. and your defense wasnt bad at all either....secondary was suspect.. but it didnt matter most of the game because NS cant pass the ball.... but lee played well... but i expected that.... :eek:

Sorry, when I said that about looking at the back of Lee's jerseys, just a little offended that people might think NS was overlooking Lee. Not trying to talk trash about the situation. Just don't want Lee's efforts out there tonight to be minimized by people thinking NS was looking forward to next week. Lee played a great game, NS just played a little bit better.

yeah... you wont see a NS poster making a comment like that....but honestly.. if you guys would have won.. i wasnt going to feel dissapointed.. because the way these two teams played tonight.. either one of them would have been a good representative for the next round...... man.. you guys played well... that offense is unbelievable.. there were tds that only took 10 seconds off the clock...wow:eek:

North Shore couldn't connect downfield because of pressure even though they had receivers available.

At the half North Shore adjusted and went to a little play action pass to a releasing halfback that worked several times and caused Lee to back off a bit. When they did, the running attack opened up.

The biggest key for Lee was they were able to match North Shores' speed. I doubt very many other teams in Region 3 can do that so I wouldn't count North Shore out for the Regional title yet.

If Lee had won, it wouldn't have been an upset, as noone in this area who has followed these two programs would have bee surprised of a Lee win. This is an old rivalry that brings out the best ib both teams. And last night they didn't disappoint. A classic.
