Is he going to play this Friday against Klein Oak? Heard he twisted his ankle on his 1 and only carry (40+ yards) against Aldine.

WHAT??? Is he already out?? Didn't hear about this? Did they even play? Or was this a scrimmage?

Didn't say he was out, just know he carried the first time for 40 yards and sprained his ankle on the tackle. No word after that.

Wrong choice of words, should have said DOWN!

Hate to hear that - great player that could carry a team - hopefully it was not a severe or high sprain.

Saw him suited up in full pads at practice on Wednesday but never saw him leave the sidelines. Feldman said they had a few nix and bruises on Monday but no one brought up M. Goodson. Hope he plays. He is fun to watch.

He played a few token plays. just enough to aggrevate it. Collins is in trouble without him. Led 17-7 at half and then gave up 2 pick for TD's in 2nd. Oak has a good defense.

I think he finished with 3 carries....reaggrivated the ankle...they should rest him for district.

The Houston Chronicle has him (4 car-23 yds). Not a bad average if you're playing with a bumb leg.

Goodson had to sit most of the game and Collins had an ugly loss to Oak. If you cannot beat Oak even with Goodson out, then you cannot play with Lufkin. Collins needs some serious improvement at quarterback. The guy threw 2 picks that were returned for touchdowns. Collins also lost one of their defensive linemen. They need to get Goodson healthy and possibly make a change at quarterback, if they have anyone else? to even have a chance this season. By the way, I said Klein Forest would be good this year and I was laughed at, but they have looked very good so far this season.

They are a different team with Goodson out. They were up 17-7 at half when Goodson was at least keeping Oak honest.

They will stay with Jake at QB. They had to throw way too much with Goodson out. He was pretty successful in first half (1 TD plus 1 nice pass/catch to set up another) as long as he had the Goodson threat. Jake is NOT Cameron Luke and doesn't try to be.

I agree, I wish Feldman would rest MG till district but he has his set ways and he will live and die by them.

Collins D was great. Oak had 66 yards rushing (67 on the one Porter run). They did loses a Junior LB for the season with compound fracture of lower leg. He is doing fine now after 3+ hours of surgery last night.

They will probably move some atheletes to the Offense from defense.

And no, they do not have the horses to stay with Lufkin or KF at this time.

I agree KC has QB problems, he looked o.k. when Goodson was in there because the corners were playing run support and the safeties had to play middle out.

KO offense was non-existant. Both D lines were able to penatrate all night.

Besides the LB and Goodson, didn't a lineman go down with a knee. The trainers were putting a cast on him in the 4th quarter.

KC has a really good looking junior QB (sorry don't know the name) but Feldman is playing the current guy because he is a senior. He did the same thing when Cameron Luke was a junior by playing the senior simply because of that reason. I think Jake has a lot of potential and could be very good this year, but they might at least want to give the other guy a chance.

You are speaking about Cameron Wendt. It was close battle but you are right, senior will win out in close battles. They have similar styles. Cameron Luke was clearly better than Garcia his junior year but the offense dictates an experienced player. I heard Cam was playing in the secondary at Utah State.

The problem is not Jake, the first pic for TD was his mistake but the second was coaching. 4th and 20 with over 6 minutes to play and they went for it. Defense had stopped them all night except for one play. The problem is Goodson has a sprained ankle and I hope we sit his the next 2 games win or lose to have him healthy for TWHS. Same thing happened to Jamaal Charles last year, sat first three games and healed up. Had great season and great debut for UT yesterday.

The Klein Oak teams is similar to Collins last year. Many 3rd year starters with a lot of experience. They were only 4A size for about a week but it was the week reallignment was set. They had a choice to stay up but elected to downsize for 2 years. Kept them away from Lufkin and TWHS but they forgot about Brenham.
