No, your not on FOX....UIL is in control now. No more TV until the State game.

In theory....Why would they show that game anyway?, Lewisville doesn't stand a chance. In fact the winner of the SLC-ET game in the second round has clear sailing until the Region I / Region II semi-finals.

uil ONLY controls the state game. all others are free to be televised. no friday restrictions either.

the last my birdie told me, it was probably going to be 3 games, not 5.

So they will likely televise three playoff games before the champinship games? I have to think that Trinity-Carroll will be one of them. How could it not be, unless there's a scheduling conflict.

If that is the case then I hope they only televise the ET/SLC game in the other metro areas but not the DFW area. I dont want TV to be a factor in keeping people at home that normally would have made the trek out to TX Stadium. It's already bad enough this game is the friday after Thanksgiving and competing with Tx/Tx A&M.

yeah, they could tape delay it for 3 or 4 hours so we could enjoy it later.

I agree, it is already in a tough time slot. TV woudl keep a lot of fans on the couch.

This game might be on. Look at this schedule for fox...

http://msn.foxsports.com/tv/schedule

Set it to 11/16 and on page 5 of 10

It lists an 8pm High School Playoff game on FCS (channel 281) for those with Charter in FW/SL etc. Is FCS Fox Central?

When you click on this listing it just says this...

8:00 PM Thursday, November 16

High-School Football:Playoff Teams TBA
Playoff Teams TBA
150 mins.

A playoff game, teams to be announced.

This is a great example of why you couldn't pay me a million dollars to be the coach that follows Dodge...somebody will try it, but it will be tough sledding, just like poor Rapp following Ledbetter.

I don't think they should televise any of the state playoff games before the two state championship games in December. If it's all about the money then don't give people any reason to stay home and not spend money at the games! ;)

I’m not sure what fortuitous means, remember I’m from Haltom. But yes, left right after the third champ. season I got back just to see the famous Semifinal game between Stephenville SLC at Texas Stadium. That was enough of the Rapp for me.

As of tonight - 11/13, the Carroll - Lewisville game will NOT be on television on any channel. While this may change, I doubt that it will. So if you want to see the game as it happens, you just have to drive your butt to Texas Stadium, pay Jerry's outragous parking fee and $5.00 pepsis. However, you can save a few $ off the price of the ticket. Carroll tickets will be available for the game starting tomorrow - Tuesday - at noon at the usual Carroll locations, including the Senior High School. Tickets are $6.00 for students and $8.00 for adults. Tickets from the Stadium will be $9.00 for all.

Will they be handing out $1 beers at Mels to those of the losing team or will I have to still pay the 2.50 ;)

It would be a waste of TV time to air a lopsided game like this. Save it for the next SLC game when they will play a worthy opponent.

i agree. but you have to realize even if they did air this game Lewisville could not compete with the greatness that is deal or no deal which is shown atthat same time slot. no one wants to see that ugly team in maroon represent this state on T.V, we would just give tx high school football a terrible name.

So if SLC Lewisville is NOT on Fox, I wonder who Fox will show at 8PM Thursday? The schedule still says there will be a high school game on then.

If Lewisville wins I will buy anyone who comes to Mels afterwards 2 beers. I will double that each week if they continue to win at the losing teams bar of choice too. ;)
