The only thing that would make this weekend any better would be word of Fran getting his walking papers.

They love fran down in aggyland.
As much as i like it when aggy loses...i hate seeing good talent be flushed down the toliet.
Fran takes prefectly good QB's...shoves them in the toliet...Does his dirty work ontop of them... and then sets back and laughs.

I am torn betweena greeing and disagreeing with you. If the loss to Nebraska was what made you feel that way, I would disagree...that game was not his fault. OU can be blamed on him I would say and his QB "transformations" maybe but not the loss to nu.

When the camera pans to Fran during a game, does anybody else get the impression that he may not even know where he's at? I hate to continue pounding on the man, but every game takes on a certain "feel" or life of it's own if you will and it is obvious that Fran has absolutely no clue on how to interpret that feel which explains why he goes for 2 at the wrong time or kicks when he should go for it.

How many games have the Aggies lost this year?
And they still want to fire him

Its not the number of losses that is upsetting but the quality of wins and the winnability of the losses. Fran hasn't beat the big 4 consistently (or in some cases ever) (t.u., ou, neb, tceh). That is disturbing.

The Nebraska loss can be blamed on the defensive coordinator, hired by Frannie. Not to mention the horrendous offensive play calling. So yeah, it was pretty much Frannie's fault.

This guy thinks the NU loss was Fran's fault. And I agree.

Their best win prior to Missouri was Army - there you go.

Are you kidding me?
You have 3rd and 2 on the 2.
You have a 270 lb. running back that won't be denied when he smells the end zone and you send him in motion and try to throw it in?
Give the boy the stinking rock for crying out loud!!!!
That was absolutely the most ******** play call I have ever seen. Bar none!!

I agree... hes an idiot... I was saying the same thing right after that play...
Yep,
There are a lot of "questionable" offensive plays called as of late.
But my main gripe is with Darnell, the DC. The second half, many times, they are not even the same defense. They shut people down. My question is, why does it take a half? I don't have any inside info, but why can't the defense adjust sooner? I know this is simplistic, and if it is so easy anybody could do it.
Secondly, they don't throw enough. The offense play calling was a little less predictable against Nebraska.
I honestly think that a decision won't be made on Fran, until after the bowl game. I don't see them beating Texas, and I am unsure of whom they might get in a bowl game. Perhaps an Iowa team in the Alamobowl?
They are keeping teams close. That is a lot more than can be said than last year. But what is so agonizingly frustrating about that, is these are games that CAN be won.

I agree about Darnell. The thing that frustrated me about the Nebraska game was after they got the lead and they HAD to stop Nebraska with very little time left, they just backed off the recievers and said "Go ahead and catch the ball, then we'll try to tackle you." Nebraska marches right down the field with no opposition and the Aggies look stupid once again. But yeah, if they would come out and play defense in the first half, or if they would have used their most valuable weapon (Javorskie) at all in the game, it would have never come down to that. God it's frustrating! And Frannie just stands there all game with that glazed look in his eyes.

Fran, IMO, will get another year.
Why? Because, whether or not you agree, this year has been a significant improvement to last. Yes, they're losing. But those losses are close (last two games by two points combined). They've already won more than last year and I believe more than any year Fran has been here. Next year will be do or die for Fran.

Or lost! Baylor may have beat them if not for their QB going out and the whole team giving up. They were only down 3 at the time and had the ability as proven against Kansas. Oh, Aggy didn't exactly blow out Army either. Only bragging rights this year is their game with Mazzu.

Agreed.
That is the double edged sword, in keeping games close. I went to the Army game, and the Aggies looked like they were sleep walking. I went to the Baylor game, and yes, it could have gone Baylor's way.
But again, this team (A&M) could be 8-1 just as easily as 2-7. That is the point I was trying to make. Last year, they were not even close in a lot of games.
Improvement has been made. Again, if Darnell can figure out how to make the defense adjust sooner, the Aggies may go somewhere. The offense has good weapons, and TOP. They just need to work on the Red zone Play calling AND execution. Coaches AND Players.
