what a shoot out. 64 pts scored in the 4th quarter. very exciting. everyone in the stadium knew the last team to have the ball would win. total offense LC 678; CC 518. not much "D" tonite. LC QB jenkins threw for 386 & 4 TD's, also rushed for 203 & 4 TD's. CC QB thompson threw for 339.

Did the defenses stay home?

Well, sounds like a lot of offense for a final game - hope they had fun at least.

It was a long game, mainly due to all the passing. LC QB had something like 500+ yards of total offense. I really thought we'd have to go into overtime.

Since this was my son's last hs game, I was feeling pretty melancholy. This was not the season we were predicted to have.

No worries....I'll be over it by Friday when Fair takes the field. I hope all 4 17-5A teams win this week! Good luck guys!!!

On to baseball....then college football and another freshman at Creek! :D

We (Langham) had just shy of 700 Yds Total Offense... and our QB Max Jenkins had 386 Passing Yds and 205 Rushing Yards, for 591 yds total... he beat the school record for most Passing yards in a game, held previously by his brother Ross Jenkins

So, defense stayed in the gym for both teams.

Was it a mutual thing?

Now that's just mean...;)

My son is one of the 2 D1 prospects on the Creek defense. Unfortunately, most of the other boys were juniors, or seniors with no previous varsity experience. You make the best of what you have to work with, I guess. I know my son has been really frustrated all season, but had a few shining moments in our 5-5 season. He's looking forward to college ball.

What about LC? Anyone going D1 next year? Is the QB a senior?

at least two D1 commits for sure (WR & OL) w/ a couple of others gaining real "looks". QB is a jr. & will be back next year.
QB was named chronicle "athlete of the week" in yesterday's paper.

That's awesome! He had a great outing and deserves the attention. It will be fun to watch him next year to see what he can do.

We have have at least 4 possible D1 players, my son being the only commit so far. We have 1 or 2 others that could definitely play Div. 1-IIA. It's always fun to see how that plays out. Hey, the more 17-5A athletes at the next level, the better for all of us. It brings more recruiters to the area for the next crop coming up.

It's hard to hold grudges in this district when the kids have played with and/or against each other since elementary school. It seems like we know athletes at every school, including Strake.

thanx. so far so good as long as they don't pull his "shirt" in the next three games. team isstruggling a bit. they are really young. only returned three starters from last year. taking their licks this year.

seems like WR runs in the family. how's the older one holding out?
