...you don't talk about the national championship when you have one loss. It angers the football gods. I've been saying all along, just win the Big XII and let the other crap sort itself out.

Down 21 with Colt healthy wouldn't worry me near as much as down 21 with Snead. Although this will make for a good tryout for him for UTEP or TCU

I'm pretty sure even Jesus is wondering how Snead can suck this bad.
BTW, what shirt are you wearing? I'm pretty sure this is your fault.

Though I certainly relish the thought of the Horns getting knocked out of NC contention, I hate to see it like this.
Colt is a good kid and a great player, and I hope he is back soon. Hated to see it happen this way.
Just so you 'Horns can't call me classless.

OK, I take back what I said about Snead... for now.
I'm still sure Geezy and his shirt are to blame.

Was anyone else getting sick of listening to the younger guy announcing the game on ABC?

Texas' mistakes finally caught up to them in this game. They've been making many of these errors all year, but managed to come back. With Colt McCoy healthy, Texas likely gets away with this game as well.
I've been surprised by how inept the Texas defense has been at times this year, especially at the back. The Horns really miss Griffin and Huff. They've had way too many breakdowns this year for the talent they have. They've played very undisciplined football at times which is surprising given Coach Chizik's defenses are normally very good.

I swear, the duo of Gary Thorne and Andre Ware made me want to shove flaming pine cones in my ears. I have never hear anything that bad. Thorne is a hockey guy and should be left there and Ware is just a moron.

I hate to break it to you but it's over for the year.
Texas losing to Kansas State is like...
Lufkin losing to Oak Ridge
SLC losing to Haltom
North Shore losing to Pasadena
or
Judson losing to Reagan
Oh wait. Judson did lose to Reagan! Oh snap!

It's the loss of Huff. Huff was the QB of the defense, made all the pre-snap calls and made sure everybody was where they needed to be. Griffin is a hitter... period. He's playing out of position and he doesn't do all the little things that Huff did and it shows. I think Chizk has tried to counter that by blitzing... a lot in hopes that they can disrupt the passing game and help the pass defense. The results have been highly questionable.

Really? Nothing is over. Maybe for the overzealous fans, but Mack has said all along that the Big XII title and BCS bowl are all that mattered right now and Texas is still in great position to get there.

Well. The Big XII title is still within reach, but I believe the computer will not treat the Horns too kindly from here on out.

What does it matter what the computers do? The last thing Texas fans fave to worry about now are the computers. It's very simple for Texas... win out and they're in the Fiesta Bowl... period. Easy as that.

I wouldnt go that far yet. VY was unquestionalby the soul of that natl' title team but he wasnt everythng. Colt has been absolutley phenomenal and if he had stsayed healthy I bet Texas finds another miracle comabck in them like they do every week prior to this one. What scares me is how good Colt is gonna be for the next FOUR years!!!

Colt is going to be a good one, but the events of last night highlight the need for quality depth. The other day somebody questioned why Jevan would want to stay at Texas... last night is why he may want to stay and last night is why Texas may need him to stay.

very ture, though I hope Jevan progresses more (which I'm sure he will as the years go on) for the sake of UT and a possible nfl carrer, however IMO Colt looks leaps and bounds ahead of Jevan
