We had an awesome game tonight. Elsik expected us to come out run heavy but we did just the opposite. Although Northshore mixed it up between pass and run the majority of our offense was thru the air. Third string was put in at the beginning of the third quarter. Elsik was no match for Northshore.

I'm not trying to bait you or anything like that, just wanted to know why y'all played on a Monday. Can you answer that one for me?

They played last Friday night.

Yes, the Shore passing game looked good but I wish I could have seen a little more of it. Hopefully, NS will play someone that will challenge them in some way before the playoffs so they can better develope as an offense (and team overall). Cain looks very comfortable and in command out there though.

NS-Stang Parent06 - You made it seem like NS played tonight. It was a bit confusing.

KT- the passing game was ok - they are basically the same passing patterns I have seem in years past. Just different players. The key is of course execution and having the players. As you well know - the middle schools that feed into NS teach/run the same offense and use the same terminology as the Varsity team. Thus- by the time the kids get to varsity level - they have the plays down pat.

very interesting point about the middle schools, or feeder schools. when i played at midland lee (eons ago) the feeder schools did the same -- ran the same game as the high schools. here in houston, the feeder schools may send kids to 2 or 3 high schools so they end up running their own schemes. this may be why houston swchools do not prosduce "dynasties" like the other regions do. i think once the "houston" schools adopt this philosophy, they would dominate the playoffs each year.

other ideas considered? loonie23............you are welcome to join in here.
