I have been unable to find out anything about the Jersey Village - Strake Jesuit game. Nothing in the paper, or on Chron.com. Its as if the two teams simply vanished. Does anyone know what happened?

Talk about flying in under the radar. After what Jersey Village did to Cy Falls last week the Katy - Jersey Village first round playoff game is a potential : "One and done - thanks for participating" trap for Katy.

In my opinion JV deserves some respect and attention.

Agreed. JV always plays Katy tough and JV has fought it out all year with the Cy-teams. It'll be a great game.

there isn't anything on a lot of the games - if it was like ours, it ended at about 1 a.m. - too late for the papers.

JV has been playing pretty well all year - they have a very good defense - just not sure what happened to it last night. Maybe they hadn't come down off that high of being the only team in district to beat us. What the loss will do is make them focus even harder on the very big task at hand - Katy. If they get up like they did for us, it will be a good game.

Obviously Strake Jesuit respected JV enough to prepare well and play hard...and beat them 30-13.

We didn't start until 7:30 and then had a 2-hour lightning delay. The Jersey Village band and cheerleaders didn't hang around for the finish and I suppose the Chronicle reporters don't like going above and beyond the call of duty either. Its a shame the Chronicle doesn't seem to realize how many people buy their paper or visit their website updates on high school sports news...

I visited Houston this week, stayed 2 nights, and I was very dissappointed at the coverage of High School Football in the Houston Chronicle; as compared to the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
