The Panthers beat SV last year. What can we expect from them this year??

Some ferocious hitting and an excellent running back. These guys can lay the wood - so can SV - should be a black/blue battle.

A very solid defense, and when he is healthy Antwan Cobb is one of the better rbs in the state. I think it should be a good game.

This will be a good game but I will go with the home team on this on.

Yeah, these seem to be the only games that homefield advantage actually has a role....whereas in the city where the play cross-city...that's not really home field

All you need to know are these three people:

Antwan Cobb
Tremont Calvert
Marlon Williams

Maybe even throw in Tyler Beatty. Their qb who is committed to Baylor. He has a rocket arm, but solid as a rock back in the pocket, you wont have to worry about him taking off and running like Walker.

On the SV field house bulletin board there was a page written about P-ville from this site. They seemed pretty solid...

Pflugerville has a lot of talent, but from reading the game re-cap from the Austin American Statesman, Pville made a lot of mental mistakes.i.e penalties. If I rememeber correctly, last year when they played Judson I thought the same thing. Lot's of talent, but not very disciplined.

Smithson Valley rarely loses to a team twice in row. Coach Hill is too meticulous in his preparations. The Rangers will win this one going away.

I know very little about the players and stats, but I picked a Pflugerville's upset of Westlake (Week 1) just trying to play some catch up in the pick'em games.

Not Westlake, but Smithson Valley

It should be an interesting game. Smithson Valley scored late in last years game to make it look closer than it actually was. Smithson Valley definitely has more experience on both sides of the football and that should help this early in the year.

The qb has a nice arm, but is quite slow - and I question if they have a decent receiver - at least they didn't last year. SHould be the game of the week possibly.

Doesn't Pflugerville play Judson in 2 weeks or so?? That should give a small indication of what we can expect in WWIII. SV @ Judson.

They never have, not in back to back years anyway. Have they?

This should be Smithson Valleys game to win. They have a bunch of guys returning from last years team. Pflugerville lost almost everybody to graduation and are trying to rebuild. This would be a great game to see in a couple more weeks when Pflugerville has broke their new guys in. Both teams are playoff caliber teams.
