Good job McGee...aggy was right. They don't need Reggie McNeal you are the "real" Real Deal aren't you?
Has anyone among us ever seen a more pitiful bunch of stats on their tv screen with the words "Player of the Game" written above them?
I know I haven't.

Fran was the player of the game....for Oklahoma.
At this point, I can't understand why any QB, ever, would go to Texas A&M. It is the place where blue chip qbs go to die. I seriously think Franny doesn't like McGee, that's why he has done what he's done to him. The poor kid needs to take a page from Colby Freeman's playbook and tranfer to ACU:D

I'll give the kid credit. He has a lot of heart and that coupled with talent is a deadly combo. I have no idea what Fran is trying to do with him. Of course I never figured out what Fran was trying to do with Reggie.
It's just a damn shame.

I heard Javorskie actually yelled at Fran after the game for not putting him in on a critical 3rd down (not sure I didn't watch). Then apparently another player said something like "if you don't have Javorskie's respect you don't have any of ours either."

Didn't the OU (winning team) running back have like 480 yards in the first quarter? Why would they give it to the losing QB who did absolutely nothing all game?

They give it to a player from each team. Why they picked McGee I have no idea.

I think your right..I think he hates him. Why exactly make him an option QB when he isnt... yeah he can run, but he just isnt built for that amount of abuse every saturday. I think he needs to transfer. (honestly i just want to see Jerrod Johnson have a shot ..Humble Grad..Though it pains me dearly that he went to A&M..:( )

Well - they could have given it to the fg kicker, that looks lame though.

And those kids should have been beaten about the head and shoulders with plastic HEB sacks filled with oranges.
Stephen McGee cannot.......and will not ever.......be half as good as Reggie McNeal.

I don't know if anybody has noticed, but McGee is starting to develop the exact same problems that plagued McNeal his senior season. Remember how Reggie almost looked scared to throw the ball at times? He would have wide open receivers and then under or over throw them by 10 yards. The kind of mistakes that just made you do a double-take wondering how a supposedly good QB could throw such bad passes. Well, McGee is doing the exact same thing. I noticed that against the land thieves, when McGee did throw, a lot of passes were horribly off target. There were also times when he would have Tellus (Holla!!) wide open, but he was just scared to throw the ball.
I don't know what Fran is doing to these guys, but it is obviously systemic. There is something about the coaching (or lack thereof) that is turning these good QBs into timid passers. Maybe McGee has just taken too many shots like these...

I said the same thing during Reggie's last 2 years at aggy.
He would get happy feet and look like he wanted to throw....or run for that matter...but for some reason just froze up.
Like he had been told to do something that was impossible to do.
Hell if I know...but McGee is doing the same thing.

McNeal was on some pretty thin A&M teams, especially on defense. I hated watching him struggle his last year.

He's not good? Damn, your criteria must be ridiculous. Were it not for his trouble holding on to the ball, Goodson would be awesome.

"goodson is okay i guess" is very different than "he's good"
the former is the sound of a blind homer. i know most though realize Goodson has a very bright future

So calling a good player "okay" makes one a "damned fool"? The subjective nature of those words aside, I find your logic to be somewhat bizarre.

I just get a little tired of the majority of Texas fan's general disregard for anything good that comes out of A&M. You've gotta be pretty ignorant to not see the backhanded tone of that post.
Courtney Lewis is "okay." Mike Goodson is good with potential to be great.

THAT'S exactly why Reveille SHOULD be Player of the Week. Fran's gameplan needs to be crapped on.
I'll say it now. If Tech beats OU, they go to a better bowl than A&M.

In my opinion, the award should have gone to the A&M kicker. He was the only person who did everything right lol

It seems to me that arguing the details of the specific adjective used in this case is not only pointless, but rather stupid. I can see if he said "Goodson sucks" or something like that, but a compliment was paid whether you think it was backhanded or not.
I'll be honest, I think Goodson is just okay. Occasionally he plays very well and he has the potential to be great but we all know how many players under Fran reach or even come close to reaching their potential. Bottom line is that he is still very raw and given the quality of those coaching him, I think it is certainly fair to question just what Goodson is capable of.
