I was rather satisfied with our team's performance Thursday. It started great with our first play going 60 yards on a screen to our half back. 10 different players on our team had a reception, and Joe had well over 250 yards passing and completed most of his passes. Our defense was sharp with our only weakness being beat on the long pass one or two times, but that will happen with our man press coverage we run. It was a giant step forward from last week.

Trinity: Great job against DeSoto! 5atexasfootball.com staff, hand Trinity the team of the week award for Week 0. I really didn't think that the Trojans were going to dominate like they did. But their running game could not be stopped, therefore no need for passing. Defensively they did good but not great. DeSoto gave up in my opinion. If they can run like they did Friday then passing will not need to be a necessity. Trinity's passing game was lacking, the newspaper gave Trevor Vittatoe 115 yards, but 75 of those yards came on a pair of screen passes. Downfield passing he had 40 yards and was 2-5 with a touchdown made on a diving catch. I think they will beat Midland Lee.

DeSoto: If you guys play like you did Friday, then you will not make the playoffs out of District 7-5A. The run defense was non existant and the passion and enthusiasm was gone at half time and did not return for the rest of the game.

Coppell: I knew you guys would beat Jesuit, but not that bad. I don't have a box score, So CoppellCowboys57 if you can give me a box score and/or how the team did that will be good.

Grapevine: I can tell that the loss of your defensive coaches to my school really hurt your defense. Ouch, but you guys hung on.

Bowie: Sherrod Harris is back for those of you who don't know. He played against Corsicana and should play against us on Friday.

I don't know if Unfinished Business is good luck. Our baseball team used that and had an early exit in the first round of the playoffs.

Of course I was satisfied with this week's result seeing as we won. Though I wasn't expectiing anything less given who we were playing. Elsik is a good team just not ready, but they just don't have enough to hang with a team like us.

I don't know if Unfinished Business is good luck.

Sure it is that was the motto of our 03 team and I think we all know how their career ended. Until you bring home that trophy you always have Unfinished Business.
