Let 'em have their scoreboard. They paid for it and it's nice. It doesn't give me goosebumps because I know who owns it.

I'm not an Aggie because I refuse to follow that cult.

I'm not a Sooner because I actually believe in following the rules.

I'm not a Cowboy because even though I don't hate Oklahoma, I like Texas more.

I'm not a Bear because I'm not Baptist!:D Actually, I just never followed them and Baptists are OK.

I'm not a Longhorn because I think orange is almost always an awful color, I can't stand Austin, and I sure don't like a fanbase who acts like they own the world when the truth is they just have the money to buy a better football team and refs.

I'll stick with Tech through thick and thin because they're from Lubbock, Texas and I like West Texas. They might not ever win the Big 12, but they're going to be pretty good every year. The stadium is much smaller than UT and A&M and we probably won't have as good of a scoreboard ever and we're going to always have to fight to get recruits, but I don't care. I'm a Red Raider because it sure beats the alternatives. Some things are just more important than winning by any means necessary. I'll take being a fan of a college team any day of the week where wearing their gear actually means something over a group who does it just because it's the cool thing to do at the time.

This is my fan power poll:

1. Tech- I'll always love them.
2. Baylor- Gotta put a Texas team at #2.
3. Oklahoma State- I like Cowboy fans.
4. Texas A&M- I'll take stupid over cocky any day of the week.
5. TIE between Oklahoma and Texas- OU has better colors, but UT is in Texas. Both sides forget they pay for good teams, so no credit to you.

ouch the reason i like texas isnt because im "rich and can buy teams" if i went with family upbringing and monitary status i would go either okie lite or little brother. no way i would so bible aggy cuz im catholic. not real big on brainwashing and idolizing a dog(bevo is not an idol, i would not take a bullet, or a masquito bite for him) and im not for thievery so mobilhoma's also out. my brother went ut then navy, most ppl i kno go ut in some form. and orange has always been my favorite color.

Honestly it ain't about me vs. you. I just like to see if people really are fans or if they are followers(i.e. the folks that had 49ers jackets in the early 90's who suddenly had cheeseheads on in the late 90's.) people that tape their ankles so they won't get hurt hoppin on and off of bandwagons are the bane of my sportsworld existance.

You don't have to explain why you love Bevo- it'll come out eventually. Honestly, getting under someone's skin is the best way to find out if they are a true fan or just a hopper. Then you can have a real conversation without all the rah-rah stuff.
My teams- Red Raiders: I grew up in Tech country, went to Tech, and personally my life somewhat paralell's Tech being the 3rd school(up for debate,) as I am the youngest of 3 brothers. I would say i have fared somewhat better than Tech vs. the other 2:D .
Dallas Cowboys: my first team, always been my team, always will be my team
Dallas Stars: made me fall in love with hockey, then took me on the championship run. If i wouldn't have grown up in Texas playing football in the best place on earth, I wish I would have grown up in Minnesota, the Dakotas, or Michigan. Hockey is my second favorite sport even though I have never played it.
Those are my 3 fave sports teams. If the oilers still existed, they would definately be on there. the Texans just aren't the same.

I guess I have been a Raider all my life. Both of my parents went to tech, so I just grew up lovin the red and black. Its fun being a speck in the sea down here in aggieland. Nothing is more fun than beating the aggs.

I would have to say my number two team is baylor. If they loose to A&M or Texas, then oh well, they were supposed to loose. But if they win, then I love giving all my friends at school a hard time.

The scoreboard is cool, but it definatly didnt give me chills. Now if it had a masked rider running across it instead of some cows, or a big double T on it, then it might be different.
