A rivalry begins.
This one is going to be a dog fight. Thoughts?
Im gonna take The Woods by 10 could be a low scoring game a first year option team vs an unestablished running team

Im prob going get Hounded for this, But im taking College park... I like what i have seen from them this year, and i really think they have a shot.
3-0 CP
The woodlands offense is just to slow.. And CP is very explosive on offense...

As much as I hate to say this, I'm picking the Highlanders by 2 scores. I hope I'm wrong though.

10-7 CP. Highlanders have been beat up too often this year and lack the faith in themselves to pull out a close one.

Me too!I've seen both of these teams against Lufkin The Woods had a much better defense didn't see much from their offense but I didn't think CP will have enough on either side of the ball.Although CP offense Was fun to watch.

I think Woods should win, but CP has a chance because woods is feeling low after getting killed on national tv

Sorry but CP - 0 , TWH - 32
Too much at stake in this game to sit back and relax. CP's defense is good but I think they will wear out in the second half after being on the field most of the game.

The one player that worries me in this matchup is Tracy Milo. In a grind it out game, he could really keep the CP offense off the field. Plus he could open up the passing game for Grote and Co.
College Park needs to get to Parsons to have a shot. And I'm sure Coach Carson has a good game plan offensively for this game. I just hope our boys play as well as they could. If they do that, they will be ok.
Anyway, there isn't one more thing we could ask out of the coaching staff and the boys. These boys have done their parents and their Community proud.
For all intents and purposes, this game is their State Championship. Good Luck to the Cavaliers. Hope both teams stay healthy.

Well HUM398. You've looked like a genius so far. You've been arguing from the get go, even more vigorously than I have, that College Park would make some noise in their first season. You were right. You definitely made the right call on the Conroe game. Here's hoping you prove me wrong once again.
Oh by the way. I did predict the Conroe game would go to overtime. I luckily was wrong about the result.

wow....anyone who thinks college park has a chance doesn't know anything about football. Woodlands gets the shaft because of their record. They played Lufkin, SV, Katy, and Northshore. So they lost to the best 5a teams in the state, doesn't make college park worthy of beating them at all. CP offense has NO chance against woodlands defense, plain and simple.
If woodlands had a easier schedule in the pre-season and won those games, they would probably be 7-1 with a loss to Lufkin. Then i guarantee no one would give college park a chance at winning this game.

The Woods offense is weak enough that any team with a decent defense has a chance at upsetting them. The Woods scored 24 points on Conroe, and 7 of those points came from a punt return. College Park scored 21 points on Conroe.
The Woods should be favored and should win, but I would say it was a given or couch it in terms as strong as Player1 makes.

Normally I would tend to agree with you, but this game has a lot kids that grew up together and know each other. IMO, The Woodlands will win, but if they win big it will surprise me and that's not a knock against your program. at any rate it will be good measuring stick for both programs.

I'm not trying to dog College Park at all. I'm really happy for what they have done this year.I I know lots of kids on both programs. I just don't like how they win a few games against some average opponents and all of the sudden there equal to the woodlands.

TWHS won 33-7. Our QB, Hay had to leave the game early in the 1st. I heard they also swept JV, Freshmen and all Junior High games. Congratulations to the Woodlands. They were certainly on a mission this week. They sent the message that they are going to take this rivalry seriously and it's not going to be a friendly one. The band and drill team officers never came over to our side for the traditional introductions. Don't quite know what was behind that. They played harder against College Park tonight than they have all year. They wouldn't even take a knee on the last possession with a 33-7 lead. A lot of what went on, on the field tonight was a little disappointing. It wouldn't be appropriate to call anybody out but anybody that was there tonight would probably know what I'm talking about. It was a great atmosphere tonight. Moorehead was busting at the seams. The Cavs looked overwhelmed by the ocassion. Somebody whipped Highlander Nation into such a frenzied state this week. I imagine they wanted to send a message to the kids who chose not to stay when College Park was built. Somebody even vandalized College Park earlier this week sending that exact message.
The Woodlands DB's and WR's played great tonight. Skaufel looked like he was making every tackle tonight. The OL did a great job protecting Parsons. Parsons looks great when he gets a little time to throw the ball. If the OL can give him that time, he'll do great in the playoffs. Class guy too. I observed the way he conducted himself during the post game greetings
Again, congratulations to the Woodlands. Looking forward to this time next year

I'm sure The Woodlands band and drill team officers were advised not to come over due to possible retaliation from the graffiti incident during the week.
I have to say, I have cheered for The Woodlands for so many years and watched my son play for 4 of them, but after this week the way some things have played out, I'm not sure if I ever want to cheer for them again. It's not just the sign incident, it's many things! I finally get to see what it's like to play against The Woodlands. It's just so sad to me that because some young men want to have a chance to participate in a football program (instead of standing on the side line until the last 6 mins of the game when they're winning by 30) that they had to go through what they went through this week. At my son's subvarsity game, we were down the whole game and our coaches were playing ALL the boys. The Woodlands 1st string quarterback played the entire game and their subs did't come in until mid 4th quarter from what I could tell.
As far as getting swept through all levels: we are still a young program. Many of our younger, more talented boys play up on varsity. Isn't our varsity running back a sophomore?
I remember when The Woodlands started out (I was in high school at a rival school) and they were getting their butts kicked by Conroe, Huntsville, and whoever else was in that district. It took them a while to get to where they are now and it's just going to take some time for us as well!!! We WILL be a team that can beat The Woodlands one day! I just hope we can keep our chins up through these rough years and not ever become BAD SPORTS to our neighbors!!
Sorry!! Just had to vent!

We are currently playing Running Backs by Committee. And yes. One of them is a Sophomore.
If the recruiting and other off-field business is kept on a level playing field, we should be able to compete with the Woodlands in the next couple of years.

I think it would of been closer if the QB would of stayed in. But we will never know. CP has a great program, and Carson is a great Coach. the CP community is very fourtunate to have landed such a good coach... he cares about your kids, and will do whats best for them as individuals and whats best for the team. i am def going to be attending CP games in coming years.
Carson teaches Boy how to become men. i really think CP will get a State title before Carson's regin is done.
Good Luck to CP in thier next game... Good luck to the seniors and that they may accomplish thier highest goals. And to the parents... Charish HS football, and your kids... You got a great thing going up there.

You think so?? Somebody said they won everygame from the 7th through varsity and it was some like 380-40?? Not to sure it will come for some time but you never know. If you think they are running up the score your wrong......... This is 5a football..............and they could of thrown the ball deep all night if they wanted!!! Hope Hay is ok he took a shot!!!!!

I disagree. They were having so much success running the football. Like I said, they wouldn't even take a knee on the very last possession. They truly wanted to make a statement. I kept wondering when they were going to take the starters out. They finally did with about 5 mins to go. Can't really expect the backup to start throwing right off the bat. I have no problem with it. Even if they started throwing bombs all night, it's really up to our guys to stop it. But to suggest that they went easy on us at any point, is inaccurate.
Also, like Collegeparkmom says, we pretty much keep all our teams intact. They all have to move up one level with the number of seniors they're graduating. It might be closer accross the board next year.

Did you really think TW was going to go easy on CP? from what I saw, CP loooked good... until the second half. TW has left there starters in until mid fourth quarter in every game this season that they have had a large margin of victory. Did you really expect TWH to treat CP any differently because they our neighbors?

They have done this forever! My son and MANY of his friends stood on that sideline many nights until mid 4th quarter, even when they were winning by 30+! They even stood on the sidelines 90% of the time OR until it was time to run during practices; they are not given a fair chance to develop or grow into their athleticism. The stars are picked in Jr High and freshman year and it goes from there! And no, my son did not suck! He almost broke a school record in one of their timed drills during his junior year, he was very fast but never really got the opportunity to show what he could do! By the time he was a junior his spirit was broke and he will tell you that he only stayed on the team to stay in shape!
That's what I like about Coach Carson, ALL boys are rotating in at practice! He does know his kids and he cares about each and everyone of them! He is a great coach!! I look forward to where he will take these kids in the future!!

Not at all. Not in the least. Nor should they ever go easy. Apart from last night, I've only seen TWHS twice this year. Both losing efforts. I've seen rivalry games between Conroe and TWHS in past years. I have never seen the Highlanders as pumped as they were last night. I was expecting it.

I've read on other threads on this message board, specifically one that talks about what to name the new South County stadium, that the Quarterback Club has a major say on who starts and who doesn't. These are posts from people who have been involved in the program in some capacity. I'm not in a position to know whether these claims are accurate. But that would explain your son's situation. He and some others probably deserved to start or at least , get more playing time.
And speaking of the new stadium name, I've said in the past that I would not care one way or another if they name it after the former Woodlands HC. After this week, I'm no longer comfortable with it. And before anybody starts screaming 'sore loser' , it has nothing to do with last night's result. I've just heard a few more things about some ugliness that went on this week. Things that would make me uncomfortable to call a Stadium named after WW the Cavalier Home Field.

im glad your son is at college park and getting some reps in the game and at practice. however, this is big time high school football. athletes are in their to compete. if your son cant compete at this level, go move to a 1A program where he could be a stud. even at the woodlands, many of those back ups could go and start at any other school. with a big school, you have a large talent pool and the best guy is going to play.
keep being satisfied with him rotating in cause the playoffs you'll be one week and done.

Totally missing my point!! My CP son does not play on varsity! He plays on subvarsity where he is given a chance to improve and show what he's got! I'll be the first to admit that he's not good enough for varsity, but as he develops, and with some playing opportunities, maybe one day he'll be good enough to play well on varsity! When my other son was a highlander, he stood on the sidelines and watched the CHOSEN stars practice everyday and get better from the time he was in 8th grade!! All boys who show up everyday should have a chance to at least practice!!

CP plays many players partly because they cant find the right one to play or because of injury. DOnt be entirly fooled there are kids at CP that quit because they didnt get to play on the varsity... or not the starter..... If a coach cared he would keep them all on the team....... nobody just quits. If the kid cant wait his turn and quits well that is a shame.......... THE BEST KIDS play unfortunatly your kid may have not been the best kid. Or he was behind a kid that went to a DIV 1 College. Realize something the coaches see your son more than you do during football season and they obviously want the best athlete out there to make the team successful. CP mom you mention the off the field things ??? The sign thing? is there more?
I was at this game and I was truly impressed with the kids from both sides meeting at mid field shaking hands and hugging before they played and after the game the same thing along with all the Woodlands coaches shaking the hands and hugging the CP players what class they displayed. The CP coaches stood close to the sidelines mad and very unsportsmanlike. The woodlands has a class program and put the best on the field.. look at the defensive kids that play on offense...... BEST ATHLETES PLAY!

Let's just say, the beautiful sign coming into the school and the word that was written on the road leading into the school, cleaned up REALLY well!! I'm just proud our guys didn't retaliate!! You know how kids are; act first, think later! Even when a highlander subvarsity player said (ON the field), "How'd you like the sign?", our boys held their cool.
And, I agree, the best atheletes should play, we ALL want to win!!! I'm not arguing that at all!!;)

Looking forward to this time next year
I am really sorry to hear about Justin Hay having to leave the game. He is a former Leander player that played with my son from 8th grade through soph year on jv. He is a great kid that I saw develop from a little squirt that couldn't see over the o-line to a pretty good QB. I was proud to hear about his success at CP and hope that it is nothing too serious.

I see you've re-surfaced again. I promised myself I wouldn't reply to any of your posts cause you're an idiot. Weren't you the one that called me names cause I suggested that we might be able to play with Conroe?
Don't call any of our players out on this board. That, I would take exception to. You can call me anything you like. Just not our kids.
Good possibilty that the FB players from EITHER team didnt do the vandalism. Even a possibilty it could have been from another school wanting to cause problems between the 2 Woodlands schools --it has happened before
Dont get me wrong -- the defacing of school property can not be tolerated -- whoever involved should be made to pay for repair / replacement , face criminal charges , & be suspended from school ( if they are students )
Believe it or not -- high school coaches get paid to win -- so the are going to play the best available player -- regardless of booster club desires.
Also -- before you start up on the stadium name again -- GUESS WHAT -- Weldon Willig had nothing to do with the sign , the conduct of the CP game , or who plays for TWH -- he was out of town --plus golly gee --HE HAS BEEN RETIRED FOR 3 YEARS
I had respect for you and your posts CAVALIERDAD --until you started this line of BS

I was in no way referring to the sign. There were other things that went on earlier in the week that culminated in some unpleasantness during the game on and off the field. I do not care to discuss them in an open forum with the hope that it will all dissipate. I know he's been retired for 3 years but isn't the program run by his former assistants now? In any case, my whole point is, I do not think the College Park community would be comfortable if their new home field is named after the former TWHS HC. That is just my opinion. Whether the discomfort is justified or not, is another matter.
I do not know the inner workings of the quarterback club or The Woodlands football program. I think I was clear enough in that post when I said that I read it here and there was no way for me to know whether the claims were valid.
I heard they caught the vandals. I heard they were not kids from another school.
Not sure why you decided to quote that particular post. I think you meant to quote the one that you seemed to be replying to.

At this point, the less said about the happenings of this week, the better. We do not want this to escalate to what you were referring to when McCullough started their program. So I'll end it on a positive note.
The Woodlands pro style offense is fun to watch when it's clicking. I think they have been flying under the radar since the early losses. I think they'll do better in the playoffs than most people think. If they can protect Parsons, they will be tough. The D is self explanatory. If they do not have to be out on the field an excessive amount of time, they can be quite dominant

He has had a great year, and a very big part of College Park's successful first season in 5a. Didn't realize he was from Leander though. Great athlete. Very quick. They started calling a few more passing plays for him recently too which I'm happy about. Cause I think he's got a pretty good arm.

I think its not fair to point fingers at anyone for the sign. It could have been the chess club for all we know.
The name of the new stadium shouldn't concern how CP feels about it. The woodlands has worked MANY years to get where they are, starting from scratch. I think they diserve their own stadium after all these years. If college park wants a stadium with their name on it, there going to have work for it. Just because ya'll are called THE WOODLANDS college park doesn't mean you diserve the respect the woodlands has.

I hate to drag this nonsense out any further, but I just wanted to clarify a few things about this whole CP - TWHS mess:
1. Yes, TWHS sign was vandalized Thursday night.
2. Seems now that the College Park sign was vandalized by CP students.
3. The game Friday night was not even nearly as close as the 33-7 score indicates. Evident by the 300 - 71 difference in total yardage.
The speed difference was strikingly obvious between CP's offense and TWHS' defense.
4. Most of the trash talking going on seemed to come from CP's #11 - what's his deal? (By the way - I don't think he caught a pass)
5. Subvarsity results were incredibly lopsided in favor of TWHS - something like 248 - 32 - It might be a long while before this rivalry is actually competitive.
6. Not sure what Weldon Willig or the stadium name has to do with any of this?????

Are you serious? CP is benifiting from Willig without even realizing it. He is one of the reasons the Woodlands produces on of the best football teams year in and year out, and one of the main reasons the Woodlands grew the way it did. Not only that, he is a great man of character and taught all his players that first. When you have five thousand high schoolers, some of them arent gonna be little angels. Just look at CP, wait how many kids got kicked off last year for coming to school drunk???
And CPmom, thats too bad about your son, but thats one of the things that makes TWH so good. It is so competitive that they it creates better players, and a ton of depth that most teams dont have. When you ahve a thousand kids in the program from JH up, some kids are going to get overlooked, its just a fact.

wow....anyone who thinks college park has a chance doesn't know anything about football.
Boo hoo hoo! The Woods had a tough schedule. No stuff. So did a lot of other schools. TW was predicted to be one of the top teams in the area. I admit Lufkin, SV, KT, and NS are tough teams to play but if you want to be a powerhouse you have to win against teams like these. TW should have won at least two of the four. Personally, I think TW are over rated. You guys are not as good as your were two or three seasons ago. Right now TW is an average team who need to play other average to mediocre teams to win.
Westfield lost 42 seniors from '05 squad, we have 3 starters from last season. We have not played top 5 teams as TW, but we have played some very good teams. Cy Falls, Klein, Klein Forest, and Beaumont Westbrook.
Sportswriters didn't think we would make to the PO this season.
Don't blame the schedule, blame TW players and coaches.
BTW - CP by 10 over TW

They caught the vandals. They were not from CP
TWHS won by as many pts as they could. For anybody to suggest that they went easy at any time during the game, is idiotic. If that's all they can manage against a 1st year varsity team whose starting QB had to leave the game early, live with it.
I'm not sure where you get off calling one of our kids out on this message board. It's absolutely classless to do that to a young kid. But if you insist on playing that game, at least call out the punks on the other side too. There have been many. past and present. Under the current and past HC.

Willig retired 3 years ago. How many of CP varsity players have even met him. You're going to need to fill me in on this..Apart from the State Finals appearance in '03, what has the Woodlands done any other year in the playoffs to warrant the description 'one of the best football teams year in year out'. That's a serious question. Cause I can only remember back to 01 when they won 2 playoff games. Somebody check me here...02 - out first round...03- state finals. 04 - out 2nd round. 05 - out first round...Having said that, and inspite of what people think, I think this year may be a good one for them.
So how have they done since say..1996?

2000 they did alot! Lost a close game to Midland Lee in the State Semi-Finals. I don't remember the exact score but it was something like 17-3. Midland Lee went on to beat Austin Westlake in the State game pretty handily.
FYI The Woodlands was the only team that year to hold Cedric Benson to under 100 yards.

to be specific --over 29 seasons ( including this year ) --TWH is 210-102-7 ( 67 % ) --made playoffs 20 times
up to this season TWH has been eliminated 7 times after round 1 ---- 6times after Round 2 ---- 4 times after Round 3 ---- 1 time after round 4 --- 1 time after Round 5 --- this yr TBD
you asked for PO since 96 ----
96 - 97 --- Round 1
98 -------- Round 2
99 -------- Round 3
00 -------- Round 4
01 -------- Round 3
02 -------- Round 2
03 -------- Round 5 ( State game )
04 -------- Round 2
05 --------- Round 1
CP has a better start than TWH --- but when TWH started in 78 ---only 1 team made PO --- then a couple years later it was 2 --then several years after that it was 3 --- now it is 4
Like the sports reporters were remarking after Nolan Ryan retired about who would break his all-time strike-out record --- come see me in about 15 years & we will see who ( CP ? )comes close

Are you serious? Why do you think they have had a better first year than McC did? Probably because when McC first began they were a school that fed from an almost brand new community with a very small talent base. Willig brought them from nothing to a powerhouse that goes to the playoffs every year, and produces a ton of D-1 talent. You can not say just because TWH has not won a state title yet they are not a powerhouse. State titles do not come easy, for example it took Highland Park over 50 years to reach the state title again last year. Football-wise besides TWH itself, CP has benifited most from The Woods success drawing in very good talent to the area and helping the community of The Woodlands grow.
By the way i dont want to trash anyone on this board, but #11 does need an attitude adjustment very badly. Hopefully Carson will take care of it.

Playoffs- its great CP is in but please don't try to compare to the Woodlands success as of yet.........The district you guys are in is terrible..... 2 good teams and 4 cellar teams....... for the 2 bottom teams its one and done for sure. for the woodlands it could be the same. but I could see them going 3 rounds deep if the cards fall correct. Doubt he gets an attitude adjustment....... kids at IKE acted like that all the time and if they were good they played no matter what attitude.......
WHo will be the QB this week? The 2nd teamer looked like he didnt want any or was not sure how to run the offense???? WIll you beat Oak Ridge?
Sign-- Cav dad do you have something to hide? sounds like you know and want it to go away....
Its to bad kids do silly things, I remember things like that in high school but not to the monetary damage as the sign.
Klein forest aint no slouch!!!! I would compare them to The Woodlands or Lamar COnsolidated. Ouch!
About the sign, I've just heard what was said in conversation between friends from both schools that the kids were caught. I don't know names or anything. Nor do I want to know. The whole thing is sad. What are you trying to imply anyway?
Ok before the season started, you guys were saying we were crap and wouldn't win a game. After going 3-0, we didn't play anybody and that We'd be crushed by Conroe etc etc. Now that we're pretty much a certainty to make the playoffs after beating Conroe, it's the terrible district...Now you're pointing out that Klein Forest are pretty good and that we would lose to them...HELLO!!!!!....CP are in their first year!!! Am I missing something?? Did somebody tell you we would win state or something???

This thread needs to be closed --bad vibes started when CavilierDad & College ParkMom complained about the vandalism , tWH running up score , and poor sportsmanship
Well -- looks like enough blame on BOTH sides -- I was hoping the new CP / TWH rivalry would be spirited but friendly ---- Conroe has to be lapping this up --laughing at both Woodlands schools. CP needs to be aware that you will be shafted by the powers to be in Conroe after the new wears off --they were hoping for a split that they could win against
This split is unique in CISD ---even though McC ( TWH ) split from Conroe --there was never a community of interest --the river is like a "no-man's land " --- when OR split from McC they went 4A so no rivalry ever bulit up-- same thing when Caney Creek split from Conroe
CP / TWH is the first real community that has been split -- the 2 schools need to compete fairly with each other-- but provide a united front to the
rest of the district
So lets be cool

Great Post. Although I doubt if Conroe are in any kind of mood to be laughing at anything right now. I've always wished for this rivalry to be friendly. If you've noticed I've never hesitated to express my support for the Highlanders, even on this thread. I've always said they are a legit top 25, may be even top 15 team. But as a parent, I will always defend a kid who gets trashed publicly on this board. No matter which Woodlands team he plays for.

You're absolutely right. A CP win would mean Lufkin goes D2 , and The Woodlands would match up with Klein. And a 1-4 Conroe team would make the playoffs and match up against Westfield.

I remember back in 2003 when TWHS made their run to the State game they had to bring in temporary end zone seats about half way through the season. Most home games the West side was completely full along with the end zone seats, and even some games like Spring and Klein Forest The Woodlands fans filled the east side!
I figured this game would pack morehead, it's good to see that TWCP has a strong following in its first year!

Thanks for the info. I hope CP does well too. If TWHS takes care of business against Magnolia on Thursday, then CP are in the playoffs no matter what happens against ORHS. Yeah they have a long way to go, but I'm almost sure they've had a better first year in varsity than McCullough did. When was their first year, by the way? What class were they in? And who was in their District? And how did they do that year?
the woodlands first year at mccullough was '78. missed playoffs first 3 years but then went undefeated in district in '81 and lost in the first round

As far as all-time streaks past and present Highland Park held the record for consecutive playoff appearances in the largest classification for over 35 years starting from 1950 (the year they qualified for their 10th consecutive postseason appearance) all the way until 1985 when Temple was the first large school to tie the record and then Houston Yates surpassed it in 1987. Since 1985 a total of 23 different teams have equalled or surpassed Highland Park's longstanding record (ALL 23 of them with the aid of 2nd and 3rd playoff teams being allowed in).
To date, NO team has yet matched Highland Park's feat and been the #1 seed from their district in the playoffs for 10 straight years in the largest classification as Highland Park was back in the 40's. Yates did it 9 years straight 1977-1985 as did Westlake 1994-2002 and Katy had a streak of 8 from 1994-2001 as did Judson 1986-1993 but no large school has hit 10.
Among all classifications, Gregory-Portland 1969-1980 (1 year in 4A and 11 years in 3A), Austin Westlake 1991-2002 (3 years in 4A, 9 years in 5A) and Pilot Point 1979-1990 (1 year in 1A and 11 years in 2A) each have streaks of 12 consecutive years as #1 playoff seeds and those are the longest I know of statewide. The longest current streak in 5A belongs to North Shore which will claim it's 6th consecutive #1 seed in 2006.
All-Time Longest Consecutive Playoff Appearance Streaks in the Largest Classification 1920-2005
27 consecutive years
Houston Yates 1977-2003
17 consecutive years
Converse Judson 1982-1998

Dallas Carter 1990-2005
15 consecutive years
Katy 1991-2005

Houston Madison 1989-2002

Arlington Lamar 1988-2000
12 consecutive years
Austin Westlake 1994-2005

The streak of 12 playoff years in a row is especially impressive when you consider that in most of those years TW was in one of the more competitive districts in the state with the Kleins, Spring, Westfield, and now Lufkin. Some of the schools with longer playoff streaks like Westlake were in a weak district.
Still, a state championship is missing - that is obviously the next step - the split will make that a more difficult challenge, however, there are some great athletes coming up so who knows - after all, TWHS still is one of the larger schools in the state.

HAHAHAHAH wow ....little late there bud, the game is already over smart guy. nice prediction though.

It might be a really long wait to determine which will be first if either. So far the record against Champion caliber teams is not real encouraging even with the two schools combined.
0--4 vs Northshore
0--3 vs Lufkin
0--2 vs Katy
1--0 vs Tyler Lee
I am actually assuming that this years Seniors were the last class to be able to stay at TWHS.

Westfield, Humble, A&MC, Klein Forest, Coppers Cove, Temple, Tyler Lee, North Mesquite, Arlington Lamar, Spring, and many more to come by BOTH Woodlands schools.

One last comment. I thought ALL IN ALL it was a great event. While outmanned in numbers and age-Seniors especially, CP played reasonablly well. I also thought the stands were full and great. I thought the spirit (other than a couple of things mentioned above -ad nauseum) was well directed.
This shouldbe fun in years to come.
It is great for the football team, but also the others to have the additional school to allow more to actually compete on the field.... this is what it is about IMHO
