The game apparently went as I thought it might. Colerain is currently like a Porsche 911 Turbo with Miss Daisy calling the driving. They have all the talent in the world, but their QB is hamstringing the offense. I have no doubt in my mind that if they had last year's QB (Goodman) running the offense, they would have beaten my alma mater handily.

If they don't sort out their QB woes, they will lose to REL. Not by alot, because their defense appears to be rock solid, but they will lose.

End of story.

BTW, St. Xavier is one of the top programs in Ohio D1. In fact, in recent years thay have .500 or better records versus Ignatius, Elder and Colerain.

BTW, I'd watch the smack. REL squeaks out a win in Texas against a team whose home was just hit by a hurricane and had their travel plans screwed up.... and you act like they are SuperBowl winners. Careful Sparky. :p

I told you a few days ago that I thought St. X could beat Colerain.

Now.. Colerain and Moeller basically tied 7-7 in the scrimmage. St.X and Colerain basically are a toss up 7-0.

So, three of the best teams in Ohio (Colerain, Moeller and St.X) basically dont even get 10 pts in the games.

If REL comes to OHIO and puts 21 or 28 pts on Colerain. That will prove that Texas offensive are alot alot alot better then Ohio offensive.

I wont even go into Southlake Carroll ok. I think you're going to see that Texas teams have some pretty stout offensive and solid defensives.

But, we'll see. I'm just glad that T.Cuba is going to be back for the Colerain game.

Hey Concheee. That OT for REL is a blue-chip prospect. Heck, I'm glad he came to REL now. Just listening to the game on the radio. He was pretty much dominating a very stiff Chaminade defense. I have 100% no doubt that the kid will be D-1A. In fact it sounds like probably 3 of those O-lineman for REL are probably going to be either D-1A or D-1AA players in the next two years.

But, REL new starting RB-Jason williams is a man-child. I promise you next week the kid is going to have about 10 offers from BCS caliber teams. He had 28-264-4tds tonight and was a "BEAST." That kid is serious !!

Coach Owens said after the game that Jason Williams may end up being the best ever REL running back. I think his alot like Cedric Benson but faster and trust me that's saying something.

The REL defense gave up like 350 yds against a very good balance team that runs the wing-t with the best of them. REL defense grew up tonight alot and when they get T.Cuba back they'll step it up even more. I'm sure if he would of been playing tonight this game wouldnt of been that close. It would of been something like 34-21 maybe.

I'm betting right now that REL puts 28 pts on Colerain. What do you think ?

If they lose another one, their relatively weak schedule will not get them enough Harbins to qualify for the post-season.

BTW, St Edward beat Pittsburgh Central Catholic tonight (defending PA champs?) and Div 3 Cleveland Bendectine blew a lead and lost a close one to Gateway (PA) - one of PAs big school favorites.

I dont understand that whole point system in Ohio. It seems kind of stupid on the surface. I heard the annoucer today say that last seasons Colerain team that was (10-0) almost didnt qualify and if they would lost one game they wouldnt of made the Ohio playoffs.
