Defense did really well...just got tired by the 4th.....held James Henry to 90 yards total.......probably almost close to zero utnil the 2nd half.......

Offense is installing some new things........and they are really sucking at it. Give them about 3 weeks and they'll be on their way.

Defense like always will be their strong point.

Like last year Waco is overrated. Living on the past. They should be thinking about just surviving 13-5A instead of winning district. They have a date with Tyler Lee next week then a trip down to Corpus Christi they could be 0-3 before district starts so it only gets uglier from here!! :eek:

Yes and Lufkin won that game in 2001 vs Austin Westlake by 14 points. Lufkin could easily have 3 championships in the last 4 years but they ran into the #1 team in the nation and lost 2 games in the final seconds. If Lufkin was in div1 i could almost guarantee they would have 3 championships. Just my opinion. Either way, Not many teams have multiple championships but most Lufkin teams are going to go very very deep in the playoffs these days and most have. Look it up!!

To elaborate the point to this whole thread was the fact that Waco got beat and since they play Tyler Lee next week and then travel to Corpus Christi the week after they could go 0-3 then it became a CENTEX vs EastTX topic. Waco always has amazing athlete's but if somthing goes wrong, they fall apart way to easy and start blaming each other, but i can understand the new off. we (a&M conosolidated) just put in a new off. this week with Aldine eisnhower and had alot of mistake's but there is no doubt waco will come around just take a lil bit of time

Well Clemens was installing a new offense as well, and with a new head coach... so i dont know how well that excuse can fly for Waco. Easy for Lufkin fan to dismiss a whole region and make his argument off of point differential, but the Centex team beat the same opponent by 21 which i believe is more than 17.
