Well those who watched the Hoover Al and Nease FL game on ESPN got treated to a good game.

the thing is that Hoover had 29 practices even before geting to practice in pads. Alabama lets its highschools practice with the coaches and learn the system year round just in shorts and t-shirts. that is a big thing to have imagine what type of Offense you could put together and the time with the o line or anything like that. I wish the state of texas let that happen. let the kids go threw summer with the coaches and practice. You could tell in the 4th qtr. that the game with nease those players got tired and the extra 30 plus practices played well for hoover and in the heat to get ready for that game.

Absolutely right. Any team given more practice time....9 times out of 10 will be better prepared....thus usually comes out victorious....

I wish they would give a little more time, but as a coach, I need some time to spend with the family. If we could work the entire summer, that would be 7 solid months of football. I say another couple of weeks without pads would be enough. Oh yea, some states the coaches do not have to teach, and sometimes all they do is coach just football. In Texas, most of the time, you have to not only teach, but also coach track, basketball, or at least help coach. It may be just JV or Freshman, but its still work.
