Let's get a thread going on everyone's spring game date, time, and location...

Lufkin will begin spring practice on April 25th and they will conclude on May 19th. They will not have their traditional purple and white scrimmage this year because of construction projects that are going on at Abe Martin Stadium and one of the practice fields. They are adding SportTurf, a new drainage system and a new 15' x 12' LED replay scoreboard at Abe Martin this spring, along with several other needed upgrades. The school is also building a new indoor practice facility/ weight room complex on one of the practice fields and resodding the other two fields that are next to the new building. So, for the first time in decades, Lufkin will not have a spring game this year. We will have scrimmages against Longview and Humble in August before the season begins on September 2nd and that will be better than the spring game.

slc has same scedule with spring game at same time as lufkin finishes-19may at dragon stadium.

Coppell has the same date...@ Buddy Echols Feild at Cowboys Stadium (yeah its almost as bad as the name of the LA baseball team)

These are the games I have so far...This is crappy...I need some more help here.


May 16th- Tyler Lee and Denton Ryan
May 19th- Abilene, SLC, and Coppell
May 20th- Bryan, Abilene Cooper
May 21st- Marshall

Can we please get some more...

I'll try and get the location for Abilene High and Cooper's Spring games. Shotwell Stadium is a mess right now with all the construction and I dont think it could host any games (though the field is fine). I'm guessing they may be held at the practice fields on each campus or maybe one of the area Universities. I'll try and find out for sure.

Longview's Spring Game is May 20th; 6:30p at LOBO Stadium.

I have been told that the date for the North Mesquite spring game is May 19. The location is up in the air since both Hanby and Mesquite Memorial are getting new turf. :D

It may have to be at McDonald Middle School as a result.

From what I have heard both Abilene High and Cooper will have their Spring games at Shotwell Stadium. You can see by these pics I took today...

...that the Stadium is a mess, but the field and stands are fine so there is really nothing to stop the teams from playing out there. Spectators are just gonna have to navigate the construction areas to get to their seats.
