I don't know. After being excluded from the England side, the USA may be the most logical choice, providing the money is right. He will probably want to hook up with the L.A. based team though.

Could be right. Although his wife may want to be based in Hollywood though. Who knows.

If he does come to the US (and I think the odds are VERY good that he will), I think he'll go to the Galaxy or Chivas USA. It is well known that Beck's wife wants to be in Hollywood and that is where Beckham has said he sees his career going after his soccer days are over. I would love to see him in an FC Dallas uni, but he will more than likely play in LA.

there's some serious ups for ticket sales in that pretty boy. he'd be worth whatever he gets, and probably then some, in jersey sales alone. it'd still be soccer, but he can flat play.

Like cavalierdad said, being booted from the national squad may have fully opened the door for Beckham to come to the States. The guy is still an awesome player.
I hope Clint Dempsey goes to Europe. That would only help our national team. When Donovan weaseled out of playing abroad it cost him dearly. As a U-20, he was without a doubt one of the best young prospects in the world, but playing in the MLS simply wasn't enough to sharpen his game. Now, the guys he used to completely outclass are so far out of his league, it's unbelievable.
The more guys we have playing in the top Euro leagues, the better. Imagine fielding a squad of CFL'ers to compete in an international football (futbol americano, that is) competition against squads comprised of NFL Pro Bowlers...that's what we're up against when we face sides like Brazil, Argentina, Italy, the Czechs, France, England, Spain, Portugal, etc. with a bunch of guys who came up through the MLS. The MLS is improving tremendously and it's not the laughingstock it once was, but it still has a ways to go before it's able to develop the kind of talent we'll need to compete on the world stage.
