Hey everyone I just got a call from one of my friends back in Lubbock. He told me Coronado is beating Midland 13-7 in the first quarter. I'm happy to hear it but I'm not sure if it's gonna last. If someone would please tell me the final score of the game because I am unable to hear or see the game. Maybe anyone who saw or listened to the game could tell me how both teams looked and more importantly to me, how Coronado looks for the upcoming season. I was told that they dont have as strong a d as last year but the offense is doing pretty good. Thanks.

Well it is 21-13 Midland. Looks like the Coronado defense is living up to expectations. ;)

Coronado came out stong at the first, it looked like they were going to give Midland a run for their money. Of course Midlands D finally woke up and did not allow Coronado to score after the first qr. Coronado's QB looks good, and they have a nice passing game. They just fell apart fast. They did not make Midland punt the entire game until the last drive and Coronado fumbled the punt on their own 5 and allowed Midland to get the ball back. Midland looked very good, they have a fast QB that was putting the moves on everyone.

It was a well played game for both teams. I was impressed with Midland though.

What are they gonna do when Abilene Cooper comes to town.

Thanks for the game info. Ya I remember Midland being pretty tough last year when we played them. Didn't thier running back sign with Texas Tech already? I wasnt sure. Sounds like Midland is going to have another pretty good season but I'm not going to base Coronado's season on this game. Midland shut us out 34-0 last year and we ended up going 8-3 and winning the district championship(even beating Monterey and Cooper in abilene). I hope they can turn thier season around like that but we will see.

it sounds like the Coppell game, haha we were down 17-0 at the end of the first, our fans started to leave when Moody suddenly woke up and started doing what he does best...scoring touchdowns...i think Midland will have a great season...What a confindence killer for Lubbock Cornoado

Our running back, Baron Batch ran for 247 yards, his career high. We looked really good, just hoping we can keep it up.
