well dallas jesuit has a thread why not the team that beat them 4 years in a row? just kidding ranger fans im a big fan of yall and wish all yall much luck please beat bishop lynch and make it 2 yrs in a row for football playoffs.

jesuit lost last year 17-14 in baytown, texas in a game with many missed opportunities (dropped interception, missed FG with less than a minute left in the game). the rebels are coming off a playoff year and a 7-on-7 state championship over bay city in college station at kyle field. jesuit is coming off a 4-6 season, the first losing season in over a decade and the first non 8+ win season in the past 6 years, which inlcuded 10-0 4 years ago. they swept through the st. pius x and st thomas in houston then won 2 games in 19-5A over hastings and cinco ranch. the rebels come to houston tonight for the game at crusader stadium where katy will bring their town in exactly a month in a sellout game that will most likely leave the town of katy, texas very very angry for lack of seating.

Strake Jesuit Crusaders
strengths: QB Bandy is returning for this 3rd straight year as a senior. RB Jefferson is back and is getting recruited to the likes of Iowa, Stanford and Baylor. WR/FS Stephen Tyree (Stanford, Kansas State) is back. DB Jonathan Moore (Miami(FL), Wake Forest) is back. Many football media outlets are picking if any year Jesuit makes the playoffs this is the year for that to happen.
weaknesses: OL lost 2 players to d1 schools last year so they are replaced with sophmores. LB crew brings back d1 bound Coffman but that's it.
Baytown Lee Rebels
strengths: coming of a 7-on-7 state championship should be a good confidence builder. Return duel threat QB, which is a rarity in pro style baytown lee's classic type of QB.
weaknesses: don't know any but in this game they could underestimate Jesuit which is a mistake in any sport against any opponnent.

Katy fans are already mad about this. If Strake wants to play in 5A, it should play in a 5A stadium. There are others around.

Like maybe Crump or Tulley. Heck, at those two places even more Crusader fans could attend. Strake's visitor stands is only going to fit the Katy band and part of the drill team. Where are the parents of the football squad, band and drill team going to sit??
No 5A games should be allowed there.

The UIL should do a better job, before admitting new schools into districts. They need to make sure schools have the facilities to support the fan base that travel with these teams.
Humble and Alief stadiums are always unprepared for the amount of fans that travel with the Katy ISD teams, it is evadent by the wait times in the concession lines, and the lack of product that have.
