5-5A I would have to say Collyville, Keller, or Grapevine...I think Collyville has the best chance.
6-5A Coppell or SGP...I think it will come to the last game of the season for both of them

Looking at the rankings that the Chronicle put out, I would have to say 18-5A is either going to be IKE or Nimitz, since they have Aldine and Memorial ranked???

6-5A has four teams ranked in the DMN top 20, SGP, Euless Trinity , and Irving Mac, and Irving...
5. Euless Trinity
8. Irving High
11. Irving Mac
17. SGP
One of the teams wont make the play-offs...I dont think Mac will this year, they have a great team, but in a tough district, Coppell could have been in the DMN top 20 if there hadnt be so meny teams from 6-5A...
Coppell was prob ranked 21 and since it isnt the top 21, we wernt listed So im going to list them anyway...
6-5A is prob the best district in the Metroplex if not the state

The Woodlands makes the last spot in 145a!! That is my prediction. 1. Lufkin 2. Klein Collins 3. The Woodlands

That is a pretty good question cowboy57. In 26-5a it will come down to Churchill and Madison...and maybe Roosevelt...and maybe MacArthur. Bottom line, it won't be Reagan or Lee...I think...
How about a follow-up question. Looking towards next year's playoff system, which team will grab the #4 spot in your district this year that would equate to a playoff birth next year? In 26-5a I have to go with Madison. I don't think they have enough defense to make the top 3 this year, but they have far too much talent in the backfield to drop below the 4th spot in the standings. They can ride those guys to a good season (playoff birth) but if this were 2006, they would almost certainly go.

In 23-5A you have Deer Park,Dobie, and Laporte fighting for playoff spots behind North Shore of course though not neccessairly in that order. I am hoping come next year North Shore is moved into a more competitive district say with the two Baytown schools,Humble and Kingwood and maybe Port Arthur and Westbrook. Though I really don't see that happening. And as far as the four team playoff format goes I still think they are making a big mistake.

So duke are you saying Klein Collins will not make the playoffs or at least fighting for a 3rd spot?? I am assuming you have Lufkin and The Woodlands as the top 2??

in 5-5a, i think its either keller or Collyeville Heritage, it could go either way between those 2, i think it'll be 1) SLC 2) DR and 3) would be one of those two teams, heck grapevine could sneak into that picture

RR McNeil will make the final playoff stop. They are very consistant about being the #3 team in our district, whether it be Leander and Pflugerville ahead of them, or Cedar Park and Pflugerville. Either Leander or Pflugerville will win this district.

he may be a colonel, but travis is right, unless north can squeak out a win against tehm or the owls...next year, think the #4 spot will be rowlett, but naaman has had a playoff berth recently, so they might get lucky

I doubt Mac would break 5th...Churchill will take the last playoff spot, with Madison or Roosevelt tailing them.

10-5A:
The winner of the Berkner/Jesuit game should get first, and the loser 2nd.
The winner of the Pearce/Lake HIghlands game should get the final spot...and be forced to play Carter in bi-district.

Churchill may be higher than that. From what I heard prior to any games, they were suppose to be real good this year. Anyone seen a scrimage or know if they are really as good as expected?

You didn't listen to the Churchill-Marshall game? I would rank Churchill higher but, the previous third place team I doubt will be able to repeat their success.

I don't know much about SA Ball, but I heard SA Marshall beat SA Curchill tonight. A good game that went down to the wire.

Yeah, a very excellent game by two excellent teams...man, I hate complimenting our rival (Churchill)....but they deserve it.

3. Madison (great running backs)
4. Churchill
5. Roosevelt
6. Macarthur
7. Reagan

All Madison really has is Green which SV showed that the key to stopping Madison is green and that's it.....I say Madison at 5. and Churchill at 3 and Roosevelt at 4.

This would be nice, and I hope the top 2 you have is the way it turns out, but as for Madison, I just dont see them being in there at 3. Can someone inform me as to how these other teams in 26-5 are doing thus far. Madison, church, roosevelt. Thanks

Austin Bowie will come in 3rd. 2nd if they can upset one of either Westlake or Hays.

In 16-5A, after Westlake, there is a big drop. So the better question is "who will get the other two playoff spots?" I'm gonna say that Bastrop will finish second with a lot of returning talent at key positions, and then either Bowie, Austin High, Crockett (yes, Crockett has a bunch of three year starters, and experience amounts to a lot), and Hays. It will be a jumble there.

I'll believe it when I see it. Bastrop has returning starters...I wouldn't say returning talent. ;)

it always comes down to the north and south garland game to see who gets the number 2 and 3 spot in the playoffs. i saw north play against rockwall this past week and i wasnt too impressed with what i saw i havent seen south play but the way north looked i think they will be the ones with the last playoff spot in our district.

Can't break the 7-5a triad
Duncanville
Lamar
Desoto
......maybe...Cedar hill can nudge in there.
They should fire that Skyline coach, all that talent and numbers and still haven't beat Carter since......I can't remember the last time.

3-5a
1. Abilene
2. Midland
3. Permian
Don't know that you can assign an order, but I say it could be one of four teams (Abilene, Midland, Lee, or Permian). I don't think this district is as cut and dried as some other districts across the state.
