Okay, TX is a gimme.
Florida as well.
What are the other top areas for high school football in this great country of ours?

South Carolina is the most underrated football state in the country in my opinion. It's not a very big state, but they produce some good teams.
Any Gulf Coast state is a given. Just ask an NFL personnel executive.

As a whole, Louisiana football isnt much to get excited about unless its your kid playing. With the exception about about 10 schools, the rest are mediocre at best.
But South Carolina is overlooked a lot. I do have to agree with that.
I think I would list them as Tx, Miss, Al, Fla, Oh, SC, and Ca. the rest have some pockets of good football but nothing more.

I met this lady from Louisiana, during a mission trip there two years ago..Her son was a 300 pound lineman who she said would dominate any Texas 5A school...we argued about it for a couple of minutes about the diffrence between LA and TX football...I came to conclusion that Texas football is much bigger and better...but she still had major anger issues

When it comes to football discussions, that sounds about right. I'm pretty suprised this place isn't a total flame fest.

You must not have been around when the Lee-Colerain debate got started. We have our share of flame wars on here, but we don't allow it to plague the entire board. We will delete entire threads if that means keeping discussion civil.

That I know of, there arent any schools in Louisiana that could dominate any presentable Texas 5A. I would go so far as to say there are 5 or less Louisiana teams that could even hang with Texas 5A's for the entire game. Longview happens to be playing 2 of those teams this year.
Just my own opinion though. I'm sure of the teams in Louisiana would disagree with me. But I don't see those teams scheduling Texas teams very often either. :D
