Judson 28 Madison 17, This will be the best Defense that Madison has faced all year and if Judson can stop the running game of Madison it may be a long night for Madison. But if Madison is able to run the ball like have in every game they will beat Judson.

Judson 28 Madison 17
I still say, if Judson pulls it off, it will be something more like 10-7. Judson's defense will keep them in the game, the offense will be much improved, but still struggling somewhat at times. Hence, the offense will also function as a good defense because it will eat up a lot of clock, even if it doesn't produce scores. Both defenses will have a lot of hard hits resulting in turnovers (maybe a total of 10 between both teams). Devin Thomas will break some long gainers, possibly for the score, fairly early in the game, but the Judson defense will begin to dissect the Madison offense as the game wears on. There will be a total of maybe 10 punts, and the FD tallies for both teams may even be in the single digits (the turnovers will perhaps be the leading possession-changers for each team as opposed to punts).
The competing scenario: It will be a total Mav's night although they will need to earn the win from Judson.

The question is: If Mad can pass the ball, because they will run the ball against any team. And:If their defense plays like it did against O`Connor, which was a shut out! If Judson gives up more the 14 points, then they wont be the best defense that Mad has played.:)

Judson could give up more than 14 points and the defense would not be the reason. Special teams, interceptions, etc. could all play a part in scoring. If Madison defense can step it back up, then they have the best chance to win. If Judson offense steps up, then the Rockets have the opportunity to win. So many if, and's & buts, that I'm going to the game, as usual, to see all of the possible scenarios. I'm expecting another excellent 26-5A game. Weather may be a factor as the front is suppose to move through during the game. 26-5A like the weather is upnpredictable for the most part.

Weather may be a factor as the front is suppose to move through during the game.
The last time a Madison-Judson game was played in damp conditions was 1984 (10-9 Judson win in Converse), when there was an intermittent, misty drizzle and the occasional crackle of thunder and lightning. Judson had an inauspicous start in that game when Mitchell Price ripped off some big yardage (and a score) early on, and it seemed like every time Judson had an unfavorable offensive or defensive play in that early going, there would be a staccato crack of thunder. In 1981 in a 14-7 Madison win in Converse, weather was good but it followed a chronic, weeklong series of showers, which I presume produced a potentially muddy field. I can't vouch for field conditions, since I was in my third year up at TAMU, and preparing that night to attend Yell Practice for the TAMU-UofH game the next day.
Another history item: The last time Judson lost on a Thursday was in 1991 (Clark 21-14). From there, you would have to go back to 1980, when it happened twice, I believe: to TR (21-0) and to Madison (7-6) in the innaugural meeting of the two schools. It was Judson's first year in what was then 32-5a, fresh off a third consecutive District title in District 29 (constituted mostly South Side teams and the Laredo's) and Madison in their first year in 5a and fresh off a District title in what would now be considered 4A (they were in the East Zone of I believe was 13-3a, which was made up of teams such as Southside, Canyon, Lockhart, Gonzales, and the like, if memory serves correctly).

Either way, its close. If Thomas has a game like he did against SV's D, then Madison wins 27-20 (gotta throw a missed extra point in there somewhere):D
If Judson's D contains him better than SV did, Judson wins 24 to 20. Either way, I'll be shocked if Madison scores less than 3 TDs. If Judson can accomplish that feat, they are playoff bound for sure.

Definitely. Judson has had some scary looking snaps on punts all season, and you may recall last week with TR, a bad snap resulted in the punter (Bouldin?) needing to try and "go for it" instead (and get stuffed in the process), which ultimately led to TR's only points, helped in this case by a relatively short field as a result. A sloppy field and slippery ball could definitely factor into this tonight.

Depending if you believe the weather men around here, they say the rain won't be here until Friday now.
That being said the game will be decided by how strong/weak the Madison defense plays. I would compare Judson to say.....O'Conner but with more speed. They both attack the play but Judson will be able to contain the corners better then O'Conner.
On offense O'Conner is better then Judson. They just had (O'Conner lost their #1 WR) more options. Judson is very predictable and Madison will match Judson with speed. This game IMO will be just like last years Judson/SV game. Very low scoring with a key turnover changing field of possion or a speacial teams play that changes the outcome.
What's the score going to be..........14-10 either way.

yeah freaking right you *******.
The score is going to be close, but Judson isn't going to win
our Defense is too much of a whole and our offense is too high-powered for Judson to even start to think about stopping us.
Not only that their JV team lost 14-20 yesterday, so much for the Varsity to get hyped up over.:)

Madison 28 Judson 14. If Judson can keep D.T. under 150 yards, then the score will be Madison 21 Judson 14.

Well, like I said in my earlier post, if Judson did a better job of containing Thomas than SV did, they win.
That's exactly what they did, especially in the second half. Hats off to the Rockets.
Hopefully, when SV shows up at Rutledge Stadium (like the new name!) two teams will be duking it out for the district championship. Should be feasible since Judson only has Lee and Wagner before they play SV.
SV has Lee, a bye week, then Reagan. So hopefully its SV at 6-0 and Judson at 5-1, winner take all on Nov. 3rd (provided that SV beats Churchill the following week).

It was a great game, and hard fought by both teams. The key of the game is that Judson just at up the clock and played just enough defense at times to take the win. That Thomas kid is just plan awesome, as good as they come. Bouldin and Mendoza just played one whale of a game and Masidons defense was on the field the whole night. The Rockets played much better, but this 26-5A where anything is possible.

That was the only thing that disapponted me this game. Looking over at the judosn side it does not look like they have as many supporters as the years past. other than that the rockets played a good game. they have come a long way since week 0.
