Well now you will hear about them.

lol, why are we talking about Laredo teams? They play on a way different level than the rest of 5A, and they can never make it past the San Antonio teams.

They are in district 30-5A.

We've gotta balance things out around here. Pick a team.

They haven't won their last game, either. I think they'll finish 5-5 and that's a lot better than the 1-29 from the last 3 years.

is lus the dallas thomas jefferson of reg 4? both went several years with only garbage points and nothing close to a win. both are now in the win column, multiply. i bet all 50 of their fans are beside themselves, literally. good luck to both. there was nowhere to go but up.

The funny thing is losing a lot breeds more losing, but once you win it seems like they multiply, too. Wichita Falls Hirschi fell on hard times, but is finally winning again this year.

This might be the worst 5A team ever. They're last in 5A in scoring and defense and that's with one of the easiest schedules in 5A. They've already played the easy part of their schedule and will be anywhere from a 24 to 73 point underdog the rest of the way.

After 3 quarters, the opponents have had 60, 26, 54, and 59 and I don't know how many Reagan had. In the 4 games I have seen stats for:

164 yards rushing
17 yards passing
45.3 average yards for those 4 games (Games 1, 3, 4, and 5).

This is bad!:D

Can Laredo United South finish above .500? That'd be pretty amazing if they did. It'd be fun to read the game articles and the reaction of the players/coaches. Keeps things in perspective when you grow up with a powerhouse like I did.

Ok, now here is where the debate is.. If we were to take our top 8 coaches in 5A, and put them together to form an 8 man staff. The best of the best. I know there would be improvment, but would they win a game? If so, how many?

The can do it if they pull 1 upset and win the the 2 games they should win. They might've blown their chance to go 6-4 when they lost to both Robstown and Laredo Martin. LUS is better this year, but a large portion of them winning games is they're playing some teams they can beat. They started to turn the corner last year. In 2004, they were the worst in the state, but Houston SFA and Sam Houston were worse in 2005, and Sam Houston is awful this year.

I guess they could win anywhere from 3-5 games. They were favored in some of the early games against 4A teams, but got blown out anyway.

Give them a couple of years and they would be title contenders ;) .

I agree. There are some coaches already doing the unexpected with little talent. That would be very interesting.
