Just wanted to thank those who sent well wishes to NS on behalf of James Brown. I also wanted to let you know that his funeral is Wednesday at 12 noon at Lakewood Church in their 3rd floor chapel. Our principal is letting the entire school out at 10:45 so that all wanting to attend can. We are taking all of our 7th and 8th grade athletes to the funeral together.

Please keep the Brown family in your prayers as they go through this very difficult time. Thanks once again for your concern, NSMS really appreciates it and I'm sure James' family does to.

Ok, so there were two injuries and at least one death. Did the JV player pass away too or was just injured?

Yeah things have been crazy around here. But as far as I know the JV player is ok they say he's going in and out of conciousness but that's all they know. Please pray for him & his family as well as the Brown family.

Thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers. The JV player is doing well. Just a note for those who didn't know James. He was a straight A student and already had 122 AR points this year. He never wined or complained and was always very respectful. As a coach he was a dream athlete in that no matter what you said to him his response was, yes sir, and he did whatever he could to please you. We will miss him but never forget him. Once again thanks to all who are thinking of him and his family and the players as his extended family.

Our hearts and our prayers are going out to his family and to his football family. This is very tragic.

All of this is just so unimaginable. Prayers have been sent of for all involved...God bless you all!

I didn't mean to post a mad face, but a sad face. I know that God has a plan for us all.
